The lore and world of Dragon Age is great. I'm glad they aren't anchoring down the whole universe of the series to a single protagonist (Warden/Shepard), with a single storyline (Darkspawn/Reapers), and are taking the opportunity to explore new themes, characters, and such in this new DA game. The story and characters of DA were great, even though they didn't come from a previous game, and I'm sure the story and characters in DA2 will be great too.
