@Saulot: the game takes place 10 years after the first game, so the warden didn't go on their calling yet.

No it doesn't. Well, we don't know if it does or doesn't yet, but that is definitely not what they are saying. The description of the game says DA2 is set over the span of ten years, not set ten years after DA:O.

there still might be DLC to fill in those gaps

but I don't want to play a level 60+ character for an entire game, because to chalange him EVERY encounter will need to be equally epic and the whole thing could get stale.

True enough on the DLC.

But as for the level 60 thing, if they're overhauling the combat it might be a ME2 scenario where the new system is so different they re-level you anyway, were we to play the Warden (which we're not).

Actually, it says that the game takes place over ten years, not that it's been ten years since DA:O ended.  So since our Wardens ended the Blight, would that mean this game takes place at the same time as Awakening?  (And of course past that time period since Awakening didn't take 10 years)

After the victory over the blight, the warden got drunk in celebration and fell off the ramparts of Fort Drakon. Undead Loghain now rules the wardens with an iron fist with zombie hobo alistair as his faithful second. No one knows what happened to morrigan for sure, but rumors say that she works at a dunkin' donuts in the anderfels.

I just want to know why The Warden vanished and allow them to get some proper closure and not get an ending that states that they vanish and will have more adventures while DA2 seems to believe that the slide was BS.

DAO isn't done yet. There is still more DAO material to come.

And DAO is the logical place to look for more information about the Warden Commander (though mine died against the Archdemon).

But there was an in-universe explanation for ME2 with Shepard being killed and brought back. How would they have justified stripping the Warden of all his skills, knowledge, and items without it being cliched and still expain how the guy who once killed an Archdemon now needs health potions to tackle some bears?

Easy.  Level scaling, lol.  The bears have been training while you were busy with the Blight.

Based on what they have posted so far about DA2, I would assume that while the Warden is off fighting the Darkspawn around Vigil's Keep, the DA2 protagonist is in the thick of the fighting in the Bannorn.

As pessimistic as this may sound,I'm going to assume that both the Warden (and Alistair) will probably have departed the realm of the living by DA2. (If the sequel were to happen say twenty years or so after Origins)

I just hope they have DLC or a Expansion for our Warden and the rest of his freinds, I want to find out about Morrigan and the baby, hell it said at the end of DAO that that was not the last of either of them, hell I would pay 100 bucks to play my warden then this shill of a goat they have for DA2, hes not epic like our Warden, hes just someone that the darkspawn got sick of taking turns on.  This is just the worst news I have heard, I had high hopes and its like I went to hell and am getting remmed all over the place.

I know...he was killed by Darkspawn, but a rogue cabal of mages found his body and spent tons of gold getting the best mages from around the world who worked together to piece him back together and actually raise him from the dead. Only he couldn't remember his name so they started calling him Hawke.

And I'm guessing the plot of the game involves recruiting a bunch of people, dealing with their personal problems, then going on a suicide mission.

I wouldn't mind playing a new character if there was an accurate explanation as to what happened to my warden. I want to know what happened when the warden vanished.

He/she is probably old and grey now or dead because of the taint.

Would be pretty awesome if you got to meet you Warden as a Npc even if it was just a Short scene and a few lines for the Warden....

The Warden will be vaguely referenced in a way that never states his/her sex or whatever choices he made in Origins

as long as your warden's personality and voice are the same and his lines are based off his plans in either at the and of origins or awakenig epliouge, i would have no problem with that even be a little satisfied

That seems unlikely unless they're going to have a game import from Origins to determine the ruler of Ferelden. The Bannorn is where Alistair would be if he was king. I doubt that Anora would go into battle, but the head of her army would be there. Either way,  we'd have to know. And it says that everyone around Hawke gets killed. They may not want to revisit the companions, but they aren't going to kill Alistair one year into his rule after all that trouble to make him king. ;) Oh, and they can't. He welcomes the PC back to Denerim. I suspect that whatever happens will begin in the Free Marches.
