What happened to the Warden?
He's in my cupboard. Sorry, he doesn't want to come out and play today, you will have to ask tomorrow!

But, well, since the neverending ****** option wasn't available I have him chasing after Morrigan so he can see his child, demon baby or not. That's enough closure for me, though a few references wouldn't hurt in DA2.

Even though you are a different character in a different place in DA2, I don't want the events from DA:O generally referred to as "oh yeah there was some Grey Warden who fixed things some years ago". 1300 years after the first one, your Warden stopped the fifth Blight. This is quite the historical event in the whole of Thedas, so the story of it should still be fresh on the minds of at least a couple of characters you will encounter only 10 years later in DA2.
The great thing about the continuity between ME1 and ME2 is that it gives you the feeling that you've personally made a difference in the universe. It would be nice to have that feeling in Dragon Age as well.

Either way, I'd like to think my warden died in battle pretty soon after Awakening.

My Warden is pretty much invincible. When he goes on his Calling he's probably just going to kill everything in the entire Deep Roads and solo the remaining archdemons.

After the victory over the blight, the warden got drunk in celebration and fell off the ramparts of Fort Drakon. Undead Loghain now rules the wardens with an iron fist with zombie hobo alistair as his faithful second. No one knows what happened to morrigan for sure, but rumors say that she works at a dunkin' donuts in the anderfels.
you really know how to make a good ending

1) You can't be The Warden again.
2) They can't explicitly name your Warden.
3) They cannot import a worldstate that does not involve a live character into DA:Awakenings, what the hell makes anyone think they could do it for DA2 which even from what little we know is very different?
So, with those limitations in mind what do y'all want and how the hell does it have anything to do with DA2?

We just choose to moan and complain because it makes us feel better. I personally hope they will release a "where is warden" children's book with the limited edition so I can sit on the pot and flip through the pages and try to spot the warden. You?

@Saulot: the game takes place 10 years after the first game, so the warden didn't go on their calling yet.
No it doesn't. Well, we don't know if it does or doesn't yet, but that is definitely not what they are saying. The description of the game says DA2 is set over the span of ten years, not set ten years after DA:O.
I was wondering how long until someone would realise that

Even if the Warden wasn't the center of the Dragon Age Universe, he/she was still very important. The Darkspawn Chronicles shows that without your Warden, Ferelden was screwed. And if it doesn't take place in Ferelden, your Warden should still be mentioned. At least a little bit. Please?

I'm not expecting to encounter my Warden in DA2 in the same gear I left him. Even the slightest mention in DA2 of the Archdemon Slayer being an evil female Dalish Elf or a good male human noble makes me happy.
