same old crap..... another NWN clone..........start a good story line tell everyone it is an ongoing thing then never continue the story line with your existing characters. So there will be no need to even worry about the ramifications of your actions because they never meant anything in the Origins. I had hoped some of what you did in the origins campaign would at least continue in the DA2 version but it sure doesnt look that way as you have a totally new character (which isnt all bad) but not the continuation of the character or characters you developed actual personalities for by the decisions you made. I will pre order it but will nonetheless be disappointed my freindships and romances will not continue. Again as disappointing as NWN Dennis -10 to bioware.

Considering Bioware never said Origins was going to carry over the Warden to future games, I am not surprised nor am I upset that my Warden isn't returning.

What happened to the Warden?

He's in my cupboard. Sorry, he doesn't want to come out and play today, you will have to ask tomorrow!

I've said it before. My warden deserves to spend the rest of his shortened lifespan recieving never-ending blow jobs in some pimp palace after everything he went through in Origins + Awakening. The last thing he needs is another adventure - poor guy needs some rest.

But, well, since the neverending ****** option wasn't available I have him chasing after Morrigan so he can see his child, demon baby or not. That's enough closure for me, though a few references wouldn't hurt in DA2.

I don't mind starting a new character in DA2, but I will be dissapointed if there's no specific mention of my Warden's actions in DA:O in some meaningful way.

Even though you are a different character in a different place in DA2, I don't want the events from DA:O generally referred to as "oh yeah there was some Grey Warden who fixed things some years ago". 1300 years after the first one, your Warden stopped the fifth Blight. This is quite the historical event in the whole of Thedas, so the story of it should still be fresh on the minds of at least a couple of characters you will encounter only 10 years later in DA2.

The great thing about the continuity between ME1 and ME2 is that it gives you the feeling that you've personally made a difference in the universe. It would be nice to have that feeling in Dragon Age as well.

The Warden isn't the center of the universe so I don't really expect them to be mentioned, especially if DA2 doesn't even take place in Ferelden (though I'm not 100% on that).

Either way, I'd like to think my warden died in battle pretty soon after Awakening.

My Warden is pretty much invincible. When he goes on his Calling he's probably just going to kill everything in the entire Deep Roads and solo the remaining archdemons.

After the victory over the blight, the warden got drunk in celebration and fell off the ramparts of Fort Drakon. Undead Loghain now rules the wardens with an iron fist with zombie hobo alistair as his faithful second. No one knows what happened to morrigan for sure, but rumors say that she works at a dunkin' donuts in the anderfels.

you really know how to make a good endingImage IPB

What do you people want, exactly?

1) You can't be The Warden again.

2) They can't explicitly name your Warden.

3) They cannot import a worldstate that does not involve a live character into DA:Awakenings, what the hell makes anyone think they could do it for DA2 which even from what little we know is very different?

So, with those limitations in mind what do y'all want and how the hell does it have anything to do with DA2?

I was thinking it would of been cool if like you were a grey warden that allistair recruited, and the grey warden you made was your commander. And you were in a party with him/her to battle a new blight, go and reunite with some of the old charcters (They all said they were going a bunch of different ways right?) And find Morrigan. Seriously, Anyone else mad that they gave absolutly NO closure on that?

We just choose to moan and complain because it makes us feel better. I personally hope they will release a "where is warden" children's book with the limited edition so I can sit on the pot and flip through the pages and try to spot the warden. You?

@Saulot: the game takes place 10 years after the first game, so the warden didn't go on their calling yet.

No it doesn't. Well, we don't know if it does or doesn't yet, but that is definitely not what they are saying. The description of the game says DA2 is set over the span of ten years, not set ten years after DA:O.

I was wondering how long until someone would realise that :D

Well, it's been announced that Hawke is not Morrigan's child, so that's highly unlikely.

Even if the Warden wasn't the center of the Dragon Age Universe, he/she was still very important. The Darkspawn Chronicles shows that without your Warden, Ferelden was screwed. And if it doesn't take place in Ferelden, your Warden should still be mentioned. At least a little bit. Please?

I'm not expecting to encounter my Warden in DA2 in the same gear I left him. Even the slightest mention in DA2 of the Archdemon Slayer being an evil female Dalish Elf or a good male human noble makes me happy.

I'd assume it's open to discussion, maybe you can speak to different historians and travellers throughout the game (specifically people who are studying darkspawn and the blight, even if thats not the focus of the story) and they will tell you different things depending on what you did at the end of the first game.
