A fair number of characters may not be Grey Wardens anymore, since that option is on the table, via the dark ritual and doing something else for a living after Denerim. So the best approach for Bioware is to leave enough alone, otherwise they're giving us a canon ending. If they let you import your game somehow, I would think what happens is that you hear about things the Warden does at different times (depending on how they space out the Blight). So news would travel about a new king for the dwarves, a heroic sacrifice at Denerim, etc.

ETA: Actually, since the Warden's last name is fixed, technically, they could even speak of the Warden (e.g. Cousland, Amell, etc.) as the greatest hero since Garahel.

Hopefully the Warden is at least mentioned in DA2 as they didn't get closure from the Awakening ending.

I'd rather avoid the wonderful nonsensical railroad they gave me in DA:A, and I'm worried a mention in DA2 will do just that. Ran off to find Morrigan, wtf now? Ran off with Leliana? No. Just no.

If Awakening is ignored, then the Warden will get closure and I'll be happy, but if Awakening isn't ignored, then I want the Warden to take a break already, they've gone through enough already.

She gives up her romance so Alistair and Anora can shack up and save Loghain of course

so really staying The commander of the Gray would of been alright. But NOOooo she had to disappear and have her sh** stolen by the crows while she's at it.

Why all the need for 'closure?' can't you people take a happily ever after?

People want to see this happily ever after, I would assume.

But my Warden's "happily ever after" disappeared at the same time Morrigan left!

My warden ruled besides Alistair (which was all a dialogue error. I wanted to couple her with Leliana... dammit) and then she disappeared with no reason... Don't know why, or how or whatever, she just disappears.

According to Steven Valentine's (Alistair) imdb's info page he is currently working a project for Disney Studios.

I am so dissapointed. Steve Valentine did great job with Alistair, pitty that he won't record anything anymore for DA. I really enjoyed to have him in party. Thank you for good times Steve.

Anyway I don't want any conclusion why my warden dissapeared. I liked ending of Awakening and I want to imagine on my own what she is doing, where she is actually, make up her new adventures in my head. If they gonna release expansion to end Warden's story it can be only with death and I don't want that. Writers like to torture our wardens and I am "abit" attached to my warden. I welcome Hawke aswell but I am afraid that it will be rushed terribly Anyway I think it would be really cool to see our Wardens in DA2 somehow.

(Anyway this can be silly abit and I am not very good with DA hi/story so forgive me but I have some scenario in my head how she got captured in secret by some crazy for example Tevinter I. wizards. They think that soul of Old God and his powers entered in her and his soul emerged with her soul when she killed Archdemon or even maybe to get information about Flemeth and Morrigan or Arhitect and why Warden did not die. So one of them tries to steal her " Archdemon powers" or give "magic of truth to suck all memories" with blood magic but he fails and manage to got only taint from her and dies . She is untained again but weak get accused of murdering of the greediest one and escapes with whole Tevinter hunting her down.She must prove  her innocence and that she got captured illegaly but she realises that it is not enough but she suceed only with few individuals who decide to join her and discover that Tevinter have some very evil plans. She meets Wynne and Shale there maybe even Leliana who comes to save someone who Zevran got payed to kill in Tevinter  and they joined her aswell . yea something like Baldur's Gate2 but abit different . haha damn I like BG2.

And apparently my Warden is off conquering the Antivan Crows with Zevran (which I gotta say, is way better then the Morrigan lovers ending: sloshing through the Hinterlands )

it's not 10 years AFTER it's during a 10 years lifespan. so it could start in lothering when we were passing by with the warden, and finish some years after the blight or something.

How does the Origins epilogue give any more closure than the Awakening one?

I think both are left a bit vague because they are planning on releasing more DLC and expansions for DAO.

Maybe they can do some alternative timeline type thing where the Darkspawn come back in time to try to kill your warden and succeed and another Grey Warden has to kill the Archdeon.
