For those a bit worried about what BioWare has changed in the next Dragon Age, in terms of character class and choices involved, I would like to share an opinion.
I've been studied the main image posted on the teaser site (the one with the male "warrior") and despite the fact that initially I was (as a huge Baldur's Gate fan) disapointed, I can suspect a different approach on the genre by BioWare. And it might be in the style of The Witcher, Gothic, TES, which might not be bad at all.
The argument is in the picture from the teaser website. We see here the main character portrayed wearing different types of armor:
plate (right side of body) - specific to warrior, paladin etc. classes
mail (left shoulder) - specific to bards, hunters, clerics, shamans etc. classes
leather (the chestpiece) - specific to assassins/thiefs etc. classes
the cape (back) - a symbol for casters; mages, wizzards, sorcerers
And looking at the weapon, we can imagine it as being a staff, lance, in any case a hybrid weapon.
So, the way that I see it, the path we might walk in BioWare's Dragon Age 2 might be very different than the one in DA(1) in terms of character class/progression and more similar to action RPGs. And if that might be the case, there might be a tiny request I'd like to launch:
Dear BW, please make the world a more open ended one! Tyvm!
