ME1 was a poor game because rpg mechanics don't translate as well to 3rd person action. ME2 was superb though.

But Dragon Age was an homage to Baldur's Gate II, and an excellent game overall.

All of this crap about action, and the fact that you can't choose a race is making me really nervous. That's just not Dragon Age...

The worst part is that Dragon Age sold 3.5 million copies, while ME2 sold 1.6

Yet it seems that Dragon is copying ME2's style, rather than the other way around.

Had Dragon Age been an absolute failure, it would have made sense for it to go the more actiony route, but this doesn't make *any* sense.

My worst fear is that it will be a third person action game with some RPG elements at best.

I hope I am being paranoid, I really really do. I hope this will be a pure PC title like the first.

I am hoping all of this is just PR spin, and the game will be an indepth CRPG like the first one.

My fear is that they'll try to change it too much. If it ain't broke, don't "fix" it. The formula in DAO worked very, very well. All that DA2 needs is a new storyline, some new/refreshing elements, and a strong cast of characters.

Now this whole business makes even less sense to me From these press releases, I got the assumption that DA fared  appalingly and they had to go into the direction of ME to somehow recoup their expenses or something...

My absolutely worst fear is that we won't have direct and full party control and will be only able to give vague and general orders like in ME. I could live with many things, but this would ruin the game for me.

Same fears here. Well, I also fear that this game will be released in Russia with russian language support only, and I'll have to import it again, like DAO, just to play it with original VO, as intended...

I have some concern it's going to be more of a console RPG, but that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. I like console RPGs. Heck, I love Mass Effect. But Dragon Age and Mass Effect are 2 different IPs. I just prefer PC style RPGs and thought that's what the Dragon Age series was about.



My only real fear, however, is an anime-style art design. I don't care too much about graphics from a technical standpoint. The original Dragon Age's graphics weren't too impressive, but I was happy with them. I do find art design to be important, however. Dragon Age endeared itself to me with its gritty, realistic, dark-fantasy look. That's what I think of when I think 'Dragon Age'. Definitely not anime, which I...don't like so much.

I want the PC version to come first, and be completely optimized like the first. I also want the game to be as deep an RPG as its predecessor.



And, yes, it should look dark.

Worst fear?? I don't like short games... DON'T make it a short game!!! And make it a REAL rolplaying game... Not an action roleplayer. Just give us a good epic story, Some nice conversations and some choises and some consiquence of those choices.
