My worst fear for DA2 is that nothing from DA1 will be of importance, and that it will be a blank slate again. I would of preferred more and LARGER DLC content.
Precisely; it will not. The only thing I can say is thank goodness for the awesome Mod community. I will just continue playing DA:O and enjoy all of the fantastic Mods that make it so enjoyable to replay. Now, I only wish I could hire out Steve Valentine to voice Alistair in a Mod so I (we) can have a proper continuation/ending to my PC's storyline from DA:O.
Obviously, Bioware was completely oblivious/ignorant to that possibility

I hope not. Post-apocalyptic stuff are so drained out already.

that way we all will be happy with Dragon age 2 , you will be able to fit in decisions from the first one to our custom char , and make the story plausible for the new guy. something like what they wanted to do in Awakening

I'm afraid that the customize system will be like ME(Where no matter what you do Default always looks better than custom PCs)
I'm afraid that the PC will have a crappy VO(I guess I'm one of those guys who wouldn't be sad if the PC didn't have a VO)
I'm afraid that they'll butcher the fighting system.

It's kind of hard to think up any other DA2 related fears, with just two awesome art pics, a protagonist surname and a new -unknown- story.

Same. It's like bloody Shepard with a damn sword. The customization of DA made me love it that much more. Now I have to play as some boob named "HAWKE" ...fantastic..<_<Saurel wrote...

YES !
As is said they should Let all of us who want to continue the story with our character from
DA:O import our char to DA2 and just play with him , however people who
dont want to play with old Warden let them play with that new guy Hawke
that way we all
will be happy with Dragon age 2 , you will be able to fit in decisions
from the first one to our custom char , and make the story plausible for
the new guy. something like what they wanted to do in Awakening

Not only that, the ending of Origins left a lot of unanswered questions & the characters were so complex a direct sequel seemed the logical route.
It's going to be KOTOR 2 all over again....
Shame.

The Dark Ritual, the plot path in which the Warden or one of his Grey Warden companions sleeps with Morrigan to avoid making the Ultimate Sacrifice.

I also fear that the setting will be some wasteland ruined by war or something with no big towns or cities with lots of sidequests and that all we will see are some ruined towns full of baddies. I fear that the locations will be more like Redcliffe or Denerim after blight rather than Orzammar or Denerim before blight.

That it will be lead developed for consoles.
Consoles have ruined enough beauty as is.
No, it's not the consoles it's the individual developers who lack experience or are simply incapable of understanding how to code for consoles. The PS3 has had some wonderful works of art relased for it and has the power required to produce great games, only the best games seem to be exclusives or first party games. I'm sure if DA was an exclusive to PS3 and not ported it would look much better than it does.

This supposed shift to a more action-rpg system has me much more intrigued in DA 2. I like combat in rpgs where I actually have control over what I'm doing, and not watching my character swing a sword mindlessley.
