So this game is getting ME2'd?

It happens every time and predictably fades away once the whingers get the game once it has been made. Maybe some people should wait for some more information and game play video's before they start this ridiculous crap.

What the hell is a refined RPG?
Demon's Souls
Deus Ex
are just some examples
I would say yes to Demon's Souls
Deus Ex not so much, being refined wasn't the point of that game it was options of play.

Anyone can make a good framerate by zooming in the camera and make levels cramped metal hallways

The storyline of KOTOR was basically
"You have potential"
"Bastilla can influence fighting forces"
"Malak is attacking everything"
"We'll make you a Jedi to track down Malak"
"ZOMG PLOT TWIST AWESOME"
"Bastilla jumps ship"
"You kill Malak/and or Bastilla"
You know what else?
KOTOR was a great game.

Mass Effect 1 vs.ME2
ME1 - better story, better RPG mechanics, better camera angle, more open, bigger levels,
ME2 - more linear, worse story, better graphics, gutted all RPG mechanics, dumbed down party management.
It makes me sad that so many people think ME2 is better than ME1 just because it's prettier and easier to get headshots.

Mass effect 2 was no fun. It was a third-person shooter. Hardly any RPG elements in it. Yea ME1's RPG elements weren't perfect but at least they were there.
Yeah I guess I don't see a small number of skills for tons of skill points being anymore there than ME2s small number of skills for tons of skill points.
I fail to see how the RPG elements were any more or less in either game. They were almost entirely the same game.

And you could break down the plot of anything like that.

Again not RPG/Shooter hybrids. If you do not like the genre it is understandable you did not like it.
But DA is not a RPG/shooter hybrid.
DAO should remain an RPG and stay that way and not be watered down for morons with a control pad!!! PC FTW!!!

Yes, but I still think the Plot Twist was the only thing going for it. Or else its just another "Chosen one" plot

Well for starters ME1 had tons more side quests than ME2. ME1 had many more different types of armors and weapons to upgrade. ME1 had more stats to add to. Those are 3 off the top of my head.

Well there was a time when games didn't have to have a gigantic branching storyline and thousands of choices. But KOTOR did a good job without it, and kept me thoroughly entertained.
Today, any RPG without all this will be laughed out of the room like a clown without makeup.

In ME 2 you have some N7 missions, random hub missions and 10 loyalty quests. ALl with different levels

At least KOTOR had two different endings depending on your choices, sort of Like DA I guess.

Hey, I play on the console and I also prefer more complex RPG's.

That has nothing to do with the way DA2 should play, however. The two franchises are different in design objectives as well as setting -- or so we were told.

ME2 plot was:
Shepard gets raped
Cerberus Resurects shepard
Shepard forced into a mission
shepard gets a team
deals with their daddy issues
GTFO to mass relay
retarded boss fight

I agree. ME 2 didn't have the open world that ME 1 did, but what's the point of an open world if there's not much in it? ME 1 was fun but it had a lot of room to improve.

There are always exceptions to the rule... console gamers have unfortunately been branded as "brahs" who like CoD because you get to "shoot people in the face" over and over and over.
Its not like all PC gamers are "elistist", just like all console gamers aren't "Michael Bay"
(psst, buy a PC)
