Impossible to implement with todays technology.

even better with Feelo2010 technology you will also be able to physically feel the impact of hits your character sustains.
Just make sure not let your character die that could be more then just painful

Would be possible if you used the Fable 2 generic way of dealing with it, you could get hit in the arm and you'd have huge claw marks on the face.

Actually, not technically true. It just hasn't BEEN done very well with todays technology because it would require many months work to get a good system in place, and that means maybe a year delay for a title.Behindyounow wrote...

There's no easy way to do it, except maybe for the people at Valve, when they are done messing around with physics-objects (yeah, we get it already, barrels float and have bouyancy.)

Yeah I'm not sure how anyone could say that it's not technologically possible today. That's nonsense. It's about applying an efficient and simple physics API. Hell it doesn't even have to be physics it can be faked if you have control over the animations.
Think of driving games. Deform models and physics do a decent job of modeling damage to the car based on where/how hard it hits something.

Everything is possible what are you talking about
remember on GTA IV you shoot someone and there's a bleeding wound
Well. They said going to the moon was impossible

Contrary to Mythbuster's sayings, the lunar landing was fake!

bioware can't even model hands properlly (bethany's Crypt Keeper hands), nor can they connect necks -> bodies (pic of Merril "sex scene"). What makes you think their ingenious animators and modelers can pull something off like battle damage?
