At least, that's how this community will probably explain it to you.
Toolset (support) is now in the same boat as MP, and very likely you need to row to Obsidian's hush hush project =)
This one seems to be a SP game only with DLC afterwards, probably. Time will tell.
But if you're looking to make your own modules, (as how it's done in nwn) our only hope lies with Obsidian for now. Unless Bioware is working on something like that but it hasnt been announced yet. Then I stand corrected =) Not putting much hope into it though.
A sad day for Toolset and mp fans. But oh well.

Even though toolset updates dried up ages ago (not to be ungrateful for devs still helping in the forums), I'd assume the new toolset could practically be the same one they used to create DA2 (without the same lightmapper like in DA:O, but hopefully better than what we have now). As long as it's still an evolution of their Eclipse engine and they didn't throw it all away for something like Unreal Engine 3 (a la Mass Effect), I don't see why they couldn't throw us a bone.Ticladesign wrote...
As with MP, alocating resources to produce a Toolset takes away from making the Purfect™ singleplayer experience, ect ect ect ect.

Thought that was Dungeon Seige 3... but anyhoo, I'd sooner think toolset support is more likely than MP support which they definitely don't seem interested in. It's not like custom mods and adventures hurt their DLC sales any that I could imagine, and for all they know kept player interest up long enough to buy them when they came out.Toolset (support) is now in the same boat as MP, and very likely you need to row to Obsidian's hush hush project =)
I suppose I'm too used to the NWN2 toolset (I know OEI != BW), where it seemed at least a given that the toolset was updated a lot more often. I'm not sure why we can't at least get a few more updated resources even without a toolset update, so we can make-do ourselves. But if you're looking to make your own modules, (as how it's done in nwn) our only hope lies with Obsidian for now. Let's keep this thread bumped until someone from Bio posts in here.
