Not really a major issue, just something I would like. Hawke sounds too cheesy and something from the 80's I think BioWare can make up a better surmane.

Yea, Hawke is not English enough for the champion of Kirkwall, change it to Wordsworth, give the voice actors a good time pronouncing that!

Isn't he a commoner? A simple refugee? A fancy name doesn't fit and Hawke kind of does.

Hawke is awesome. I mean they can make him a general and he can create an elite commando unit.

How about Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch? Easy on the eye and not hard to remember.

I kinda sympathize with OP...
Hawke...
"Oh, you mean that that dude with fancy bird name?"... Well, we already have a sheep-dude in another Bioware game...

Just call him Player1 and be done with it. Hey we don't need roleplaying in an RPG now do we.

Having no name makes the dialogues less personal. I much prefered people calling Shepard by name rather then everybody calling the protagonist in DAO The Warden

it's an okay surname. although hawke sounds overly masculine and sorta cheesy while shepard fit either gender and was much more generic, which is good.
