Morrigan's child from the DR would be too young for it.(It's been hinted that the 10 years start before the blight is over. If so, that would make Morrigan's child about 9-10 at the end of DA2.)

I though it said "the story will take place over 10 years" not "its been 10 years since Origins". Besides its a demon baby with the soul of an Old God, who knows how fast they mature?

If you read what I had said.. You'd realize that's what I said. It's been hinted that DA2 begins during the blight. And DA2 will last 10 years.

It's safe to assume that the woman isn't Morrigan's child. Considering most girls don't even hit puberty until 11-13. And she'd only be about 10 or younger by the end of DA2. I doubt a child with the soul of Urthemiel would mature any faster than a normal child.

Yeah folks, the story takes place over a decade. It doesn't start a decade after Origins.

Think like AC2. Assassin's Creed 2's story was over the course of decades, but it took place centuries after the first.

I really want to know what the dragon looking thing behind her is. The way she has her arms spread, it looks like she is controlling it.

EDIT: Actually, the story can't take place during origins because Hawke is describbed as " a survivor of the blight."

I'm hopeing it's Morrigan's child, will be sweet if it is, since I choose the DR anyway.

DA2 could easily begin with the blight in Origins. It would give a lot of background and insight into Hawke's character. Which would make people feel a lot better about there not being actual origin choices if it's well done and meaningful.

~sighs~ It's logically impossible for the woman.(A grown woman in the concept art.) to be Morrigan's daughter. Who would only be a child during DA2.

I suppose that's true, but it seems like the majority of the game would/will take place after the blight.

Really, we have no idea when the story takes place; and, if bioware sees fit, it could easily take place twenty years after the blight.

Yes, but we don't know that for a fact. We only know that Hawke is the survivor of the Blight. It never said how old he was when his village was destroyed. We only got the confirmation that the game spans 10 years. No one said the blight is the starting point for those 10 years. It could as easily be in an intro cutscene when you see an infant or toggler Hawke running from his burning village as opposed to something we actually play.

So with no concrete facts to claim anything would be "logically impossible" makes little sense

Strangly it would make sense if you had Hawke start out as a child and reckless
