this start to remind me off the days following biowares rather horrible sex and voilance trailer during e3. People and reviewers started freaking out dissmissing the game but later came back in shame when it turned out to be just as good as they hoped for

that the people totally freak out if a change of the game or something else they propably don´t like is announced thats a good sign.... it shows that the people really hope for a good game and are afraid of a bad one. no "i dont get that game MAN" posts would be a pretty bad sign....

Well, I actually hate Mass Effect, and consider this game utter piece of... Well, that's why I don't post on ME forum.

So I support OP of course.

ME1 was epic the second was utter trash, due to the fact they made it a shooter more than an RPG!!!

I seriously LOL at people who are all "It's too soon, give it a chance!" when we already know all we need to know.

Hawke = sword!Shep

And that's a game breaker for me. You all run along and be not-judgemental and play your EA Panders to the Masses game. I'll be here, lamenting the death of the one franchise that I thought had made old school type RPGs successful again.

Problem is that people are freaking aout about things they actualy dont know about. Eveeryone here is making massive assumptions based on tiny, tiny bits of info. Most assumptions have even been denied by ops in other threads but why bother to read those before posting your posts of doom.

The new adventures of Hawke relieves the pain of waiting for Dragon Age 2. A new game with a great old title.

guess the problem is that one of the less things we know is that it´ll have ME elements. only nobody can be sure how MUCH.

ME2 sucked in comparison to DAO

The majority disagrees with you. Check poll to see that ME2 > DAO > ME1

The fact i can't choose race is showing they are already changing a lot. Combine that with the fact they're changing combat and i get worried. I won't say that i won't buy this yet but it certainly seems they're using the same ME2 system that totally ruined that franchise for me.

Sex, violence and Marylin Manson is one thing, throwing away all of the choices players made, and making DA fans take the Shepard route by making them play as a predetermined character who can be tweaked in some ways is completely different. Him assuming that there's going to be full VO isn't crazy. Think about it, predetermined character named Hawke and the game's page says 'a cinematic experience that grabs hold of you and never lets go'. Plus they already tested it out in Leliana's Song to see what fans would think.

I trust Bioware to make a great game, I really do. They haven't let me down yet, but throwing out the whole 'this is for the fans of our more 'hardcore' games like Baulder's Gate' mentality that they had for Origins just baffles me. I try not to blame EA for everything, but the whole we want to make our games more accesible and easy to get into for everyone vibe that they were giving off at E3 really seems apparent here from what those few bullet points reveal. In my opinion anyways.

Have this been comfirmed?  Ive not read anywhere about throwing away all the choises people have made. Also.. Having a blightsurvivor named Hawke as ur character still leaves MASSIVE room for custumization and freedom.. Its all about how they implement it.

Hey, I *liked* Rise of the Argonauts.

It was a great action game.

Horrible RPG, but a great action game.
