this start to remind me off the days following biowares rather horrible sex and voilance trailer during e3. People and reviewers started freaking out dissmissing the game but later came back in shame when it turned out to be just as good as they hoped for
Sex, violence and Marylin Manson is one thing, throwing away all of the choices players made, and making DA fans take the Shepard route by making them play as a predetermined character who can be tweaked in some ways is completely different. Him assuming that there's going to be full VO isn't crazy. Think about it, predetermined character named Hawke and the game's page says 'a cinematic experience that grabs hold of you and never lets go'. Plus they already tested it out in Leliana's Song to see what fans would think.
I trust Bioware to make a great game, I really do. They haven't let me down yet, but throwing out the whole 'this is for the fans of our more 'hardcore' games like Baulder's Gate' mentality that they had for Origins just baffles me. I try not to blame EA for everything, but the whole we want to make our games more accesible and easy to get into for everyone vibe that they were giving off at E3 really seems apparent here from what those few bullet points reveal. In my opinion anyways.
