Hawke's right hand is a paw and the female one's left hand is a paw
does this mean anything? something relates these two?
I noticed one thing about the character's hand

Some theorize that they are both Hawke. We already know that hawke can be both male and female and also either warrior, mage or rogue so i don't think that theory is so far off.

They're gauntlets, man. At least, the female's claw in Matt Rhode's deviantArt page is clearly a gauntlet, as are both her hands in the Gameinformer cover. Hawke's claw looks like a gauntlet too.

The concept art of the woman, however, on the DA2 website is definitely not a gauntlet. Her arm can at least turn into a full-fledged dragon claw and horns sprout from the back of her head.
