Since DA:O was in development long before EA bought Bioware you think it was in developed soon after they bought it out?
How long has it been in development?

It would depend how many people were working on DLC and Awakenings, it does seem soon considering the content that has been realised so far.

If you would have asked me in the context of other game studios, I'd say since Awakening.
But seeing as Bioware somehow has unlimited resources and has been developing Dragon Age, Mass Effect 2, TOR, Awakening and DLC all simultaneously I honestly don't know what to think anymore.

Probably long enough to be between the factors that's causing the original Dragon Age not to be fixed yet 9 months after release.

I'd say that they have been working on this before Origins was even released. Dragon Age was an epic seven years in the making, you know.

My guess is that they have been working on DA2 since before DAO was released. I mean uit is fairly common knowledge that they had Origins completed well before they released because of porting to to 360 and PS3 so who isn't to say that they had already started work on DA2 in that period as well as having some work on Awakening in the same time frame.

They finished DA:O two years ago. They could have been work on number 2 for quite a bit. Plus with a set story and system....could have only taken them 6 months.

I guess before DAO was released. I think they started back when they delayed the PC version

i think they don't need much time for developing. what cost most time in DA1 was that the story had to be written. i guess the writers can write much faster now for the universe stands^^
