I don't like the idea that some of the characterization and uniqueness is being taken away from my character, but I do very much like the possibility that Hawke will have a voice.
However, this makes it likely that Hawke will have less dialogue, and I don't like that idea at all.

I've said this before, but I hope this is not a permanent turn for the Dragon Age universe. I like having character creation with a lot of variety and depth. Hawke's story may be fun, it certainly sounds intriguing, but it doesn't sound very much in line with the original Dragon Age "spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate" spiel.
Maybe they'll give us, in the future, a Mass Effect game with character options. Hmm.

Is nobody getting "Who is professor hawke?" from Dexter's Lab, like me?

i love Being Shepard in Mass Effect, but i also love creating my own Character in Dragon Age. did Bioware put in a Shepard like hero? Will this take away from the Dragon Age experience? please share your assumptions
Well it seems like they are cutting the elements that got me interested in origins in the first place, in depth character creation, choice and origins. Now the creation could still be indepth but I will greatly miss picking the race and having it make a difference in the characters background. I assume this type of stuff was cut for the sake of getting the game out fast, similar to the changing of the conversation system to something lesser, I may be wrong but I doubt it. Since this thread is about assumptions I would also assume that the replay value will be one tenth the originals. But I guess we will have to wait and see.
You know i have disagreed with you several times on different threads. Im sorry, it seems you were quite right.

Sorry for the double post but after reading game informer the hawke= shepard thing seems fairly accurate, comments like "he wont be a blank slate where the player needs to fill the gaps" does not thrill me.
