Having said that, BioWare: I don't really like modding my game, so please give me long hair from the get-go? Thanks.

My guess would indeed be that, like in Mass Effect, you can change Hawky's gender and appearance as you choose at the start of the game.
Well, I do hope that's the case.

Yeah, can we have pwetty pwetty make-up, pwease? And dresses? Long and flowing and made of silk? And can we put roses in the hair of the character?
Long hair is extremely impractical in combat, I doubt that it will be included in any combat-based game.

Have you ever engaged in a swordfight with long hair? If not, shut up. If yes, learn to fight properly.
'sides, there's loads of combat-based games where characters have long hair. Granted, most of those are Japanese, but still.

I personally don't dislike the appearance of Hawke in the trailer - it's over the top and smells more of a superhero than a rpg adventurer, but he's cool and powerful. That said, I'd like it better if he was fully customizable - voised multiple times, so players can choose the voice thier character has, but most importantly - with a fully customizable appearance - the Dragon Age Origins character builder wasn't bad, why not simply adjust it to the new graphics and be done with it?
I don't know about you folks, but I like playing rpg games mainly because they allow me to play through the story line with a character that is my own.

To tell the truth, given all the concept art BioWare's been pouring, regarding Hawke I think there's a good chance that he will NOT be customizable - "Here's the appearance of your character, here's his voice and personality, so sit with them for the rest of the game. But hey, we got you something better than a customizable character - a baddass marvel-like spell-warrior!"

You can customize your character, don't freak out. Default Hawke exists for marketing reasons.

Yes please, BioWare. Long hair would be something I'd love in DA2.
