No, You have a wrong definition of Sterotyping.
A stereotype is a commonly held public belief about specific social
groups, or types of individuals.
In this case - Only boys buy videogames. We will market to the boys.
The concepts of "stereotype" and
"prejudice" are often confused with many other different meanings.Your confusing it with Core Demographic. ... If Bioware Believed all there Male demographic were nerds who lived in there parents basment that woulld be sterotypeing in marketing. Believing that there a fewer Female gamers than males is not sterotyping
Untrue.
"For example, stereotype marketing ideologies might focus too much on one
group and ignore another equally, or even more important. For example,
target only kids for (non-PC) video games and lose access to millions of
customers. Nearly a quarter of all video games are purchased by
consumers aged 40 and older, and 38% of all video game sales are made by
women."

1. I don't see any Ingame screenshots, and as i said b4 the game is 4months from release, the site is SUbject to change as the game get's closer to release.
I certainly hope so.
2.Once again were 4 months away I think they'll put up more screenshots closer to release, in order to generate hype.
I certainly hope so.
3. I don't know Biowares marketing strategy, but i'm almost certain they will put up more screens and maybe videos of femhawke closer to release. but if they don't, they have a reason not to other than they don't care about females. They care about sales that's it.
If they don't, they are neglecting their market.
I'm suggesting sales could improve if they showed some videos or were more clear you can alter the gender.
I'm speaking from my personal experience, and from the experience of my friends.
Your confusing Target demographic with Sterotyping, Their main audience is males, no matter who they market to most sales will be to Males. That's just how it is.
Focusing on one market isn't Automatically Sterotype in marketing,
You don't sell tanning lotion to black people
You don't sell toys to adults
You don't sell video games to girls
It's just trying to get to the audience who make up the majiorty of your sales.
and Once again this source is hard to go by because we can't say what it's including. 38% is a extremeley high number, and im willing to bet not even 10% of DAO sales were to women.
to your 3: Were still 4 months away it's a bit premature to say their alienating your market completley when they've only put out about 16 screen shots total.
The site is subject to chane in order to generate hype.
