A message to all the haters and doubters.

Bioware makes great RPGs. It makese the greatest 'traditional' RPGs and with Mass Effect 2 they showed they know how to blend RPG and action like no other.

Why are people freaking out over a few snippets of information?

If you loved Dragon Age, stop worrying, they're not going to remove all the awesome just to break your heart.

Hey, considering how many threads there are panicking and proclaiming the rise of Cthuhlu from his watery city, I'll hop on board to some enthusiasm. Even if it's Mike Hawke enthusiasm XD

Oh, here we go again, Mike Hawke...

A bit on, before it get's nasty: party based tactical fighting and fully customizable silent protagonists can be as awesome as killstreaks and explosions for some of us, and they are tempering with that.

We wouldn't mind it if the first game was the same, but it wasn't.

This game will turn into a big Joke, much like E.T....and every copy they can fetch back will be buried in some unmarked landfill. :D

ME2 wasn't an RPG...it was a linear shooter.

You just hangin out mike_hawke?

I would have to see some gameplay and some interviews. But I wouldn't  call it the greatest.

I don't agree with "greatest". Something that can topple BGII or HotU hasn't been made yet (at least not by Bioware, I personally put Mask of the Betrayer up with Placescape:Torment with TOP TOP tier CRPG stories)

But I am really exited about DA2, considering I actually listened to the production cycle and understood that the IP is more about the setting as opposed to "Your Super Awesome Warden"™

Some speculate while most state.

Dear time travelers,

How's the future? If DA2 will be so terrible then please pray tell did you come back just to whine on the forums of the past? stick to your own time line.

Much appreciated,
Narrsan of The Past

Ps; if you don't mind before you go, could you please pm me the plot
twists etc for the game?

Hey, it's not our fault they gave us high hopes! You can't promote the first game with a highly customisable character creation system and then blow that to hell with a pre-defined protagonist in the sequel.

That said, I'm willing to give it a chance. All I ask for are awesome party members that we can live vicariously through, or like I said in another thread, an expansion or two that brings back some of the options, even if it's in a self-contained storyline.

You mean they wont remove the origins or mess with the conversation system I loved?  Oh wait.
<_<

but seriously people are going over board in both directions "it will suck" "it will be awesome" with so little info.  I am reserving judgment as a whole, while being disappointed at certain changes.  So why are you so optimistic with only snippets of information?

The designers of ME2 said that some of their biggest mistakes was removing the tradional RPG elements (like inventory)

I have a feelling (or a heartfelt wish) that the same thing happens to the DA3 people

That they feel bad that DA2 removed all the rpg elements and add them all back

The DA team have not gone as far as the ME team did in ME2.  You refer to inventory yet notice what looks suspiciously like inventory in DA2.
