Tonight, Bioware's own original forums are having problems. Somehow, that seems prophetic!

Well, they did say they were going to close the old forums, so that might be it

The notices of a planned outage weren't copied to every forum, nor were they posted with a lot of advance notice. It was every page of every kind that Bioware has on all of their servers that were all gone, and only the Dragon Age forums had been affected by being closed for about 18 hours starting the evening before and ending at mid-day on the day of the game's release.
The other forums probably weren't intended to be moved for several months, while this one (and probably ME2) works out all its many kinks. The really bad profit (none) report on EA may throw moneky wrenches into all of it, naturally.
