If its in the concept art Bioware its going in the game. In fact can someone confirm pole-arms for me right now. This is a deal breaker.

Unfortunately, due to graphical limitations they had to remove the bow itself.

Mike Hawke employs vigorous thrusting and penetration, I imagine. Not sure how else a spear would work.
Yep. My meme has definitely caught on. *sheds tear*

same with any other concept art. Don't release all these cool concept art pics, with these cool fantastic weapons and armor....only for the actual game to be entirely different with most of the weapons and armor just boring reskins....
and, in the concept art, he's holding the weapon in his left hand. Hopefully they will leave in the option to choose which hand to equip our weapons ( and this would include the gauntlet claw ).....

Don't forget that Mike Hawke can also use the shaft for bludgeoning.

first of all, that weapon and claw gauntlet thingy and armor better be in the game.

A toggle for which is the strong arm would be cool, but why not just save space and just make the character right-handed, left-handed, or ambidextrous?

that said, i wouldn't count much on that polearm appearing in the actual game. David Gaider commented some time ago that adding new weapon types is limited by need to create all new animation sets for them, and as such the development looks for "low hanging fruits" first, i.e. what gives them the most bang out of the buck spent. Which gives priority to animations which can be reused for more than one thing.

How could I not join? Mike Hawke is larger than life and needs support. People will try to put Mike Hawke down, but with any luck, we can keep him standing at attention and prepared to do whatever it takes.
Mike Hawke swells with pride at your efforts. Honor him and give him more heed and he will no doubt burst!
Also, on topic, I really look forward to seeing a broader range of weapons and abilities.

I'd be ok with that, as long as you can choose that during character creation. Like, if you were Dual Wielding, you could choose ambidextrous.

It'd be cool if you don't choose ambidextrous, then only the strong arm can get crits, but if you do, then ambidextrous means less damage from both arms, but higher chance of crits.

I know, but I sincerely hope they've recosidered and do include polearms, pikes, etc etc.

"What's a spear?"
heheh.
Polearms can look badass if done properly. Swinging around the giant shaft, cutting down your enemies as they swoon before your might. Looking for that one special opening in your opponent as she inadvertently spreads her guard a bit too loosely and you let forth that final decisive devastating thrust...
Spears, pikes, halberds, etc. are just better if implemented correctly.

What is the weapon on the cover? It can't be a sword, the shaft is 3 feet long with the blade another 2 feet long.
A Polearm.
