Doesn't Dragon age 2 remind you of the Fable?

Just finding it very similar when first looking at it.

Not really. The Hardest Thing In The World wrote...
Almost every other game plays that way, you have to agree with me on this.
Some do sure.
I would not say a majority.

If anything, it reminds me of Assassin's Creed 2.
Ha ha that is what I've said! (and no I didn't play it. I have only seen the trailers.)

Pretty sure DA2 doesn't have an Animus. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

all true, the only thing that's missing is the rise to power. In Fable you could only become major of Bowerstone which didn't really feel like being anyone... though I guess that was simply Molyneux's mistake and he actually wanted us to feel powerfulJacks Smirking Revenge wrote...

Besides the general "how to become a hero in 50 hours or less" thing employed by all RPGs, I don't believe I've seen anything in the previews that resemble Fable. Fable was pretty crappy, IMO, and I couldn't get past the first hour mainly because I can't stand northern accents. [Sorry to people who do have the Yorkshire thing going on, so sorry. Its just a preference. I like your puddings.]

I rather like the the dropped on his head part better. How are people supposed to fear a character that frequently craps himself in public, and puts on stupid act to talk to people.
Oh yeah and faking your own death in public is also a big no-no...
No, I see no comparisions between Fable series and Dragon Age...

Wow. What possessed them to make a game where everyone has Yorkshire accents?

Unless Hawke has "fart" and "belch" options in place of dialogue, then no, it doesn't really make me think of Fable.
I hated Fable 1 and 2 so much...
When I was younger fable seemed novel, you know? First game in the series--could go somewhere.
Then fable 2 came out and I returned it the same day. How can you release a game like that on next-gen and think it's acceptable?
"No, it's perfectly fine--follow me through these monster-infested woods to a creepy-looking castle where I'm not going to sacrifice you..."

Well it does seem quite strange that DA2 and Fable 3 have the exact same plot. Hmm.

There is magic...
There is a commoner..becoming a hero/champion of albion....
Fable you have family....DA2 you have family...
Well just saying that when looking at it...it really makes me think of fable.

By the time Fable III is released, everything Molyneux said/promised about the plot will be the exact opposite.
