Tool 2: "Well I think we should expand and rework the talents.......HAHAHAHA what am I saying? you thinking what I'm thinking Tool 1?"

Tool 1: "*SNORT* yah!  Let's like, do what we did with Mass Effect 2....we'll make it more action based instead of sticking to the roots and what our fans expect....afterall those halo kids number in the droves"

Tool 2: " HAH! yah...screw all that RPG stat and talent bull****...let's strip that **** out....convo's and dialogue? screw that..takes too long and those guys will buy it anyway...afterall..it's Dragon Age!"

Tool 1: "Yah, true.  But what about our core fans..they're kinda the reason we're sitting where we are?"

Tool 2: "screw em"

EA-Tool: "yah, forget consistancy or any of that other nonsense....we want the cash and we want it NOW"

if you guys do to Dragon Age what you did to Mass Effect....screw off.

and to the "defenders" I really don't care what you have to say....I've been a die-hard fan of bioware more years then you have post-puberty for the majority of you...half of you probably can't even name a ****ing BioWare game pre KOTOR that isn't Baldur's Gate (and can ONLY name BG because it's talked about in reference to Dragon Age.)

and this is a forum and I WILL voice my opinion until some mod **** comes along to stifle me...and I will ignore your unintelligent insults because you don't agree with me....have something intelligent to say that's a counter-point...state it...we'll have an intelligent debate...however 99% of you aren't capable of that...for those that are...bring it on.

Yes because two pieces of promotional art work and a few lines of PR speak and the protagonist's last name being revealed totally mean you can claim that they threw out the RPG stats, talents, and conversations. You wanted and "intelligent debate"? Cite your sources then.

Shattered Steel.  MDK2.  Neverwinter Nights (which I hear in conjunction with Dragon Age WAY more than I hear Baldur's Gate).

You have every right to voice your concerns. I just don't see the point of being concerned yet, considering all we really know about the game is that it will most likely have a voiced protagonist.

did you miss the part where I said I didn't want DA to become like ME did with ME2's "streamling" (lol at that)?

and sources? obviously I don't have any...only a track-record...and this little info sounds a LOT like what we were given about ME2.....and look at that.

so yah..I think even with the tiny bit of info we got I have reason to be concerned and angry at where it sounds like it may be going.

I'm as guilty of jumping to conclusions as anyone, but this is a little nutty.

A lot of what little has been announced has been disappointing to me too, but that doesn't mean it's not going to be a great game.

And for what it's worth, ME2 is sooo much better than ME1. I'm not saying every change was for the better, but in general it was way smoother and a lot more fun to play. Better action, better squadmates (in my opinion), no Mako, no dealing with piles and piles of stupid upgrade junk, etc.

what's funny is..I almost..almost MIGHT agree..

except....I've played ME1 10+ times....and even though the combat is clunkier..and the inventory management is a mess..and the mako (which I didn't mind much..but then again I didn't mind scanning either) wasn't very good...

with all these "improvements" why can't I make it through a 3rd play of ME2?

There's a lot of info in the upcoming Game Informer issue, and once that's out, we can talk a lot more. It directly addresses a lot of the questions out there. I can say, "don't worry, you'll love this game," until I lose my voice. But it won't mean anything til you get the big infodump that's coming.

I'll say this to those who are all concerned about things being changed to reach a more massive audience. We already reached a massive audience with DA:O. It would be silly to make DA2 into something that the DA:O audience couldn't recognize.

I trust that more than the hand waving and panicing most people seem to be doing
