Well I went and installed the toolset Friday, and I worked all day on
the confusing tutorials at the Wiki (at least confusing for me since I
only know a little bit of Java and html).
Well it screwed up my main game so bad i had to reinstall. So I haven't run the toolset yet.
Is it safe to run it again? I really want to learn how to do this stuff, I love modding.
But
I'm worried it will mess my game up, is there a safe way to run it or
is there something on my pc I should update before I do?
Toolset Help?

the primary concern is that if you're "opening" things in the toolset they use the single player campaign so if you're not careful the changes you're making end up being to the core single player experience

Yeah, but I didn't do anything. I started a new module following the tutorial and it messed up the game. Maybe I just did something wrong, I don't know.
