Do you think you are gonna be able to make your own content with DA2?
Via toolset or something like that?:)

Well i am getting a new PC and buying DAO on it so i hope that DA2 turns out just as good and gives the option.

As long as it's based on the same engine I dont see a reason why they wouldnt. Then again if it's being rushed to make a release date we may not see it until later ...or not at all.

Hope so, its a tradition now from DA1 and while im not a fan of player made stuff really, if you have it to begine with, you need to follow up on it

I hope so too. The mods are great for this game and Warden's Fall was made with the toolset and that was really amazing to watch.

Don't believe the Awakening module has been opened to modders yet and EA typically doesn't go out of their way to aid modders. Could go either way, if I was to take a guess though I'd say no.

You can mod the 360 version. It's not as interesting and it's boring because no ones made an app yet and you have to manually hex edit it.

Judging from the release schedule and the direction of DA2, I won't hold my breath on this.

Seriously, I would be very surprise if they create anything just for PC after DAO.

If Bethesda can do it (both Oblivion and Fallout 3 are multiplatform and there are toolsets for PC) and Obsidian can do it (New Vegas is getting a toolset and it's multiplatform too), why would Bioware not do it?

How mad would you be if they did not include the toolset at all?

The toolset is a big part of DA with alot of really talented modders making things for it. It would be wise for bioware too maintain and encourage that community.

I have the strange feeling that DA2 will be another title running under the UE3 engine, and if that's the case then the chances are that we'll never be able to modify it with any official toolset or SDK, and I think that because most UE3 games out there cannot be modified by officially-provided tools because they barely or simply not exist, until third-party tools are made by the community similarly to Borderlands or Mass Effect 2 (and many others).

If however DA2 still runs under the same engine as the one for DAO (with perhaps a couple of enhancements) then I guess that BioWare will have it more easy when it comes to creating a toolset for the public because it would be their own engine and not the propriety of another company which might limit/restrict the liberty they have to provide tools (for instance, I don't know how it works exactly but if DA2 for example runs with UE3 then I guess that BioWare would have to ask permission to Epic Games to create a tool, I'm not sure though, please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm just speculating).

I doubt Bioware would throw away their engine so soon after it was first used, but even if it did run on UE3, the tools are right there, on Epic's site...

Already been confirmed that DA2 will use the same engine, albeit with graphical tweaks and some enhancements. It was one of the very first bits of info ever stated about DA2, from what I can remember.

They better offer a toolset. If not, there'll be hell to pay, son. Hell. To. Pay.

I would prefer the toolset was built into the game like it was with NWN personally. I have never gotten the one for DA:O to work for me unfortunately
