People seem to be unable to picture the Warden as this legendary figure who shapes the world Hawke lives in.
It's not what I'd call a sequel. Origins seems to be a blueprint you map out for future DA games, and I'm fine with that. The game takes place in a world SHAPED by the decisions you make as the Warden.
But to each his own, I guess.
Well, how much shaping will be visible and the depth of it is open to question.
Simple mentions of who is on the throne in Orzammar and Ferelden for example are just token pieces that don't amount to much if they don't also play into the visible, day to gaming day politics, dynamics and experience of the world. ( thus differening from other players game experience )
As others have mentioned before in Awakenings, the sense of your warden having shaped anything was minimal, characters walking up to you and mentioning A vs B, ( just to reiterate what your choice in the previous game were ) but nothing more coming of that, the game then proceeding the same for all players, was inconsequential and ultimately unsatisfying.
As a better example of how shaping the world should play out, such that it impresses on the player they really have made differences that matter imagine the following, in which
If as the warden you had placed Bhelen on the throne, in DA 2 or a subsequent game, there was a whole, sizeable Bhelen related sub plot for the player to explore that players who had not put Bhelen in power would never get to experience. And how that played out would further shift and diverge the game world from other players experiences.
And likewise if the warden had chosen Harrowmont. Ultimately players would effectively end up playing quite different games based on their previous choices.
That's shaping the world.....having an NPC walk up to you and say something slightly different, or a brief cameo from a previous character based on choices past, is not.
But making a game that truly adheres to this requires a monumental amount of work for the writers, as they end up literally having to write multiple stories.

Would not bet on it. BioWare subscribes to the D&D style of leveling.

Which D&D?
Basic, 1st, and 4th all go to 30.
2nd and 3rd go to 20.

Just asking since there were none to be found in DA:O plus will/would Sten have a different look now?

do we know how awakening save game is going to transfer over if there was no post game save?
Since there is no plot-changing dialogue when you face The Mother, you should import the auto-save/manual-save from that very same room, remembering that battle is the last thing you can do on Awakening.

What I got:
* Inon Zur returning as composer
* Grey Wardens will appear
* Flemeth appears "more than once"
* Hawke is the oldest sibling
* Best of all, "apostate" is pronounced "a POS tate"!
LOL, okay so that last one isn't exactly list-worthy. I can't believe he actually answered it though.
Anyway, it sort of bugs me not having something to link to, but maybe it'll show up eventually...they have a few links for dates in August. Not sure how that works.
Edit: forgot one... Varric's house is House Tethras.

I thought that was more of an *eyebrow waggle* situation, but I could be wrong. I don't remember that particular question too clearly.Bryy_Miller wrote...

Paranoid Android-ish...?
Is drunk Alistair even canon? Is anything canon? Surely it was all just a bad dream! Varric's chest hair was making it all up!

* I don't know if the same composer is a good thing, the soundtrack was pretty meh in DAO with a couple of exceptions.
* Flemeth appears more than once? I hope we get to slay the old hag, for reals this time.
* So, Hawke is the oldest sibling? I hope Beth has a (mostly) defined personality and doesn't look up to me too much. I wouldn't want her to be too influenceable by my actions and behavior.
* Varric Tethras... hmmm.
