We should also note that Hawke is a Cousin of the Warden Commander mage.

I agree that it's highly likely that the Amells are related, but it's only circumstantial evidence. I'll definitely add that Hawke's mom's maiden name is Amell though.

I'll stop procrastinating soon. Well, eventually.

And, just to clarify, it's the human mage who's an Amell (that might seem obvious, but I like to be precise).

So I'm looking at the screenshots, and you can feel free to disagree, but that blood-smear across his nose looks very stupid. I don't like to use the R-word because it offends people, but that's what the Hawke in the Flemeth 3 screenshot looks like.

It's like...

"Go clean your face, dumb_ss!"

Apologies if this has already been suggested, but you might want to remove the "there will be more DLC for Origins..." now we've got Witch Hunt.

Nice to have a thread for updated information but I knew about most of the info already so no surprises for me.

Yes, yes you can. Almost done with Gaider's day 2 interviews...but the evening one is really annoying to watch as the sound and video are off by several seconds.

Edit: Forgot I have stuff to do today, so I won't be able to finish it until later, but I threw what I had so far up there.

We should also note that Hawke is a Cousin of the Warden Commander mage.

I don't really mind. Gameplay has rarely been Bioware's strong suit, there strong suit have always been story, setting and characters with depth that develop.

What i'm more worried about is that it seems like Bioware barely test their own games and apparently have no beta-testing at all. I mean if they properly tested a game, how could they miss all the huge bugs? Just take the installation problems. Some people can't install Dragon Age: Origins without copying all the content to C:\\  and then install it.

A lot of people have problems installing Awakening due to bioware wrote a installer that used a call command for a function that didn't exist in the x64 bit environment any longer since what.. 2 years ago?! It's on top of the readme file that it's been changed.

Then you can try to have fun trying to get the Toolset to work, good luck getting that **** to work.

These are major game breaking problems that they apparently have "missed" and it's not counting that mass effect 1 & 2, DA, Kotor etc was filled with bugs that really never got solved or took a long time.

That is a serious problem bioware needs to address, when it comes to the games I trust them completly, i've never disliked a bioware game and loved the majority of them

Do we know why they're changing the appearance of the darkspawn to be more human?

Really not a huge fan of the new hurlock look. In the original they looked dark, vicious, and more importantly, tainted. These new hurlocks look more like extras from the Masters of the Universe movie. They look pale, sickly and not really tainted at all. Hopefully the concept art differs from the actual gameplay designs. If not, I hope we really don't see too many darkspawn in DA2

The DA2 hurlocks don't look human at all to me. They have a humanoid shape, but then...so did the hurlocks in DA:O.

Strange way for just deseased humans to come up from broodmothers just like some ants do ))
In DA:O they were supposed to look monstrous, scarry, disgusting and what not. Everyone in game and books said they are aweful. Well, I don't say they scared me really. Actually when I saw them in the battle at Ostagar cutscene I thought "Hello to you, LoTR orcs!" So I see why they changed them. I just don't get what's supposed to be so scarry about the new ones ))

Well, there'll be no Blight. Don't see another reason for them to hang around all through the game ;)

Only a part of it does.  The whole game take place over 10 years--there is some overlap, but that doesn't mean the whole story occurs at the same time as DA:O.

Excuse me, didn't have time to see-through all the pages of the tread, but I am just finishing the first gamу (for the tenth time, I think) and it just occur to me that the hero of the second chapter is morrigan and warden's (or Alistar's if warden is female) child. I don't know if that was discussed so far, but it's just writings on the wall, no?

Or am I some kind of ****** and everyone else figured it out already? If that's the case I am sorry.

It's been confirmed by the devs that Hawke is not the child of Morrigan.

Well, from the first trailer of ME2 Shepard supposed to be dead, and then again he was. Didn't stop him from saving the galaxy second time in a row though. But alas, i'm not as genius as I thougt.

But nevertheless it all couldn't be the coincidence? You don't change you main character out of blue, yes? And if you do, then you must have a damn good reason to it.And again I don't think that all that stuff with Morrigan was just for creating a new Sauron, nor do I think that all the branch will be tossed into garbage.

Well, since an adult Hawke is escaping Lothering during the Fifth Blight, that would suggest that he or she is not a person who hasn't been conceived yet.

Oh ****. I kinda missed that part. Well, it's a pity then, because the thory was very beautiful. It even answers why the first chapter is called origins. And why you can only play as human. And why main character changed, and all that rise to power stuff, and everything else.

Pity.

Wow this board does have censorship. Didn't see anything like that in years.

A pity for some, maybe, but not for others (like me).  Hawke comes with a family and they already seem quite interesting.  I love having new characters.

That doesn't happen for most people.  I suspect the problem might be on your end.
