Im just disappointed it took the Mass Effect route or thats how I see it.
My first DAO toon was an elf, then i did the human origins.
I just wondering if they are planning on making it like ME with the coelseced ini thing therefore almost negating any community modding ability that would be the pits
I am also not nearly as excited about DA2 as i was the approach of DAO
If by "took the Mass Effect route" you mean, specifically, the dialogue wheel/voiced PC, I can understand the problem. Personally, I don't mind it; I enjoy both games with a voiced PC and those with a silent one. As long as the system works well enough within the game itself, I'm happy. It's the fact some people are complaining that they only get to play "one character" that confuses me. I understand limited options in character creation is a cause of frustration for some, but regardless of the character creation options, pretty much any game puts you in the role of a single person (or, sometimes, a specific group). DA:O was no different, except for the different prologues, and even with those, the player is still controling the part of the Warden, regardless of
what the Warden is.
From what we've heard from the devs about DA2, you still get to shape Hawke's personality. The extent of that is up for debate, but the fact remains you're still making your own PC just like in DA:O; you just are set to one origin this time.
