This is the best thread I've read. Thank you!
Between this and David's podcast, I'm feeling much better about how deep the dialogue/npc interactions would be with my main character.
After ME2, and the DA:O DLC I was very worried. I'm still nervous, but it seems like they're trying to do a lot to enhance the DA:O experience with this:
There will be romanceable characters [

"...the DLC from Origins will be tied to this game as well. You will see characters from that DLC in this game." [

Hawke's party will still be limited to 4 (Hawke + 3 companions). [

It is likely that Nathaniel Howe will appear, as he spent time in Kirkwall before the events of Awakening. [

"You can even be openly hostile to your party members and still unlock combat bonuses." [GameInformer article] 08/08
Hawke can get quests from and even romance companions regardless of where you are on the friendship/rivalry scale you are. But it may play out differently. [

The dialogue wheel will have up to 5 choice options and up to 5 "investigate options" (to leave room for "investigate" and "return" options, respectively) [

There will be an icon that illustrates the tone of each dialogue response (snarky, aggressive, peaceful, romantic, etc.) [

There are "personality choices" and "action choices." The tone icons for the former affect your personality, and depending on your choices, you will develop a "dominant personality" that can affect how Hawke delivers lines. The icons for the latter indicate intent. [

Party member approval is based on your actions, not your personality/tone. [

Hawke will participate in party banter to a limited extent. [

I'm also really excited at the prospect of seeing our characters/old NPC's from DA:O original, even if from an objective view, in a way that offers more depth to what we already knew.
Ex: 'behind the scenes' when Alistair got that rose. ;} Or Lelianna went to the bridge to wait. Or even after DA:O to include our character choices, since DA2 is a longer timeframe.
Any word on this kind of hat-tipping/story tie ins? Or am I just missing where it was posted?
I guess it would be nice to see tie-ins to our choices, not just from a huge world view, but also personal to our specific character's personal decisions in the most manageable way possible.
