Anyone else as dissapointed as I am?  I mean They didnt exactly put an ending on the 1st one.

Yeah, but it isn't a warden from DAO so who cares.  Dare I say that.  I agree that DAO had no ending.

I should add that I've preordered 2 copies of the signature edition, one for myself and one for my son. I don't consider the game a sequel and will continue to play DAO because I love it.

I'd say it's a sequel because it's a continuation of the story as a whole, not the warden's story. If you think about it, the warden was not the main focus. A lot of other crap was happening around him / her. Origins focused heavily on Alistair, the bastard heir who you either helped embrace his birthright or pushed him aside completely. It also focused heavily on Flemeth, who appears in the first DA novel, and daughter Morrigan, whose stories (and feud / rivalry) are far from over. Where your warden's story ends -- for now -- their stories continue. But instead of these "main character NPCs" focusing on the warden, they now turn to another blossoming protagonist, who may have even more influence on the world than his / her Grey Warden predecessor.

I have been following the game for since it was announced and I accepted a lot things I didn't agree with in the beginning like the warden didn't return as the main playable character, the dialog wheel, Isabela getting a new voice and so on.

but I have come to terms with most it, I still don't like the new hurlock look probably never will (since the Darkspawn isn't, as far as we know, the main enemy in the game so I guess I can tolerate it) and there's still the matter of the God child there haven't gotten a proper ending, but anyways I think I'm going to enjoy this game when it's going to come out.
 
even though I have very good faith in BW, I still complain on the things I don't agree with, you have to point out some the flaws so they don't make them again after all BW is not perfect.

I can see how it couldn't seeing how each person unique character and story line whould make it a bit challenging. It still would have been nice if they had done so and continued the warden story of DAO. I had several ending.One where I romanced no one, and several where I had romances with each of the romancables player (not all at the same time of course). I would have liked to have contiued some of that. I don't see why if you want to export your old character over to DA2 that your character couldn't have been part of that story line too. Even if the story is about hawke or whatever. Hawke could have been someone in your party like Alistair or any of the others were. I will have to play the new and see though. I may still be fun.

Y'know, I didn't think i would like Dragon Age II based on the early rumours, but having since watched the behind-the-scenes vids and updated news I think the pessimistic among us will be pleasantly surprised. Of course there will be things that we miss from Origins, but I have a feeling that DAII is in good hands. Let's have a little faith!

While the Warden's story may not be continued in DA2, I have this vision awesome vision that it will be in DA3. I feel that Hawke and the Warden will team up or something, but they had to lay the foundation, or background story, for DA3's Hawke with DA2. Of course the possibilities are endless because the Dragon Age itself (like the other ages named by the Chantry) is 100 years worth of history and content. Anyway, just because they don't continue the Warden's story in DA2 doesn't necessarily mean that BioWare is finished with it.

Yeah I know. I am still hopeful and looking forward to the new edition to the storyline no matter what. While I sit around and watch the other gamers in my house enjoy thier WoW Cataclysm I am thinking how much fun I will have when DA2 comes out and their Cataclysm will be old by then lol.

You only get to be human.  Male or female.  There are no female qunari in the game.

Where did the rumours that DLC character is a warden came from?

The Warden cannot be a companion, he/she does not have an independent personality and could be pretty much anyone... I really think the Warden's part in the series is over, and only his actions and their consequences will live on. There are several reasons for this: The character creator is probably going to evolve, there will most likely only be voiced protagonists in DA from now on, the series are going to develop throughout the 100 year period of the dragon age and last but not least this isn't ME.

 i realy hope some old charecters come back, i disliked that dragonage awakening did not have many old characters returned. lets hope.

For cameos my bet is on Alistair or Nathaniel. Steve Valentine's been doing work on DA2, I think and I doubt he'd voice anyone but Alistair.

David Gaider said during one of the PAX chats that Sten will not be appearing in DAII. If you were to ever see him again, he wouldn't have horns.
