It will be similar to mass effect in that you can change Hawke's gender, class and face but the character will be the same.

i found this intersting quote in there (translated into english)

"Concerning the history of Dragon Age II, this is the complete history of a character free, with memorable companions, family history and loyalty, told by several narrators."

seems varric isn't the only narrator in the story.

I hope that's a misheard statement... I actually enjoyed friendly-fire in normal... made being a mage... less broken.

Pretty sure it's not. It came straight from Peter Thomas, and if anyone would know it'd be him. His first sentence (at the link provided) is "Friendly fire is only on Nightmare." Not many ways that can be misconstrued.

Really, it's kind of stupid. They can make clothing and hair wave in the wind, but not animate a simple bowstring? Either they're being lazy, or the engine they're working with is terrible.

LOL. Not only did this all have to hit on a day when I'm working 12 hours, but it's also in a week where I'm working 60. Figures.

Does anyone know where I can find the concept art from making of Dragon Age video where it featured the elf archer and the long haired mage? I'm looking for the one where he summons the arms to tear apart his enemy.

I found that statement a few hours later.... Oh well... One could always hope against reason that it gets changed before release.
Thanks for this thread, btw.:kissing:

The part about the tactical camera is no longer correct AFAICS.

"The camera is attached to your currently controlled character. It may be rotated freely."

Nice find. I especially found these parts compelling:

When you get to Kirkwall, however, and move forward in time, she has her own life and location; a house. After five hours with the game, Hawke’s mother was looking like a detailed character, with quests to complete on her behalf, based on her background and history. There’s uncles and extended family involved too.

And:

What made this rivalry relationship so believable were the moments where the sibling interjected with a “story” from childhood, or blatantly challenged Hawke on a decision in a way that an another follower would never. I was also getting a sense that this sibling might be competition for a love interest, but that is purely speculation on my part.
My overriding feeling was that I wanted to protect my sibling, but that my sibling was acting according to their own agenda.

It's nice to see that family life will be as organic and fraught as real life. I like the sense of stepping into a world which has not been waiting for me, but rather welcomes me into its own complicated web.

I like how it's more than just Hawke + mom + sibling. And that Beth/Carver can pester the PC. There could be some major parts of the story that revolve around a brother/sister trying to protect their mage sibling from the templar vs mage conflict.

Imagine if there ended up being another family party member, like and uncle or aunt. Maybe one to replace whichever sibling died?

Hello everyone, and I'm sorry to bother you, but I need help.

I want the signature edition, so I will have to preorder it pretty soon.

The problem is, I know nothing about computer specs and stuff like that.

Is there any way to check if I am able to run it? Perhaps compare it to other games?

I can run COD: Black ops multiplayer and DA:Origins

Thank you if you can help me, and sorry for being such a "noob".

If you can run DA:O you will probably be able to run DA2. DA2 has higher minimum CPU and memory requirements, but multi-core improvement isn't linear so the solo/dual/quad core requirements probably aren't that important. The question of how well you will be able to run it is largely unanswerable until we know how DA2 runs in general.
