Is this still true? Does that mean that their face doesn't change, but the hair/skin colour/outfits change. A little like Fable. Hmm, so long as there are enough styles to make my different playthroughs feel unique, I won't mind. One issue I had with Fable 3 is that your character always looks basically the same.

It means that you can create a custom face, but the one seen in the videos can't be tweaked. It works like Mass Effect.

The Carver and Bethany chosen-by-class thing sounds interesting. I usually play as mages, and would've loved to have mage sisters. I'm curious about their personalities. I mean, if for example Carver is all saintly and Bethany is ruthless (or vice versa), it'll certainly make things interesting considering how many playthroughs would result. Nice.
I know someone might hit me and say 'read the forum posts', but there are 146 pages.

If you play as a mage hawke, you can't have bethany, you will have carver. I f you play as a warrior or a rogue, you're going to have bethany.

Very sorry for the appalling levels of fan dumb here- but I'm still not quite getting this. Does this mean that in combat in such you're free to be a beaky-nosed, blue-lipped mowhawked harridan all you wish, but in cutscene videos and such, you'll only see default Hawke? How odd.

When you create your Hawke, you have the option to use the default hawke face (the one we see in the videos) or to create a new one. Howewer, if you create a new face, you can't use the default Hawke face and modify it, but start from zero.

Thank you for clearing that up! This sounds reasonable. I may end up going with defauly Hawke actually- she's really neat looking.

So just as a quick recap, we've got Varric, Bethany/Carver, Isabela, Fenris and Aveline as confirmed party NPCs so far? And the special DLC character?

Hmm. One more mage, warrior and rogue to come then? Both Anders and Nathaniel headed to the Free Marches (Anders serving on Isabela's ship) in my DAA epilogue screens. Anders more likely as a party NPC I reckon, maybe meet Nathaniel around at some point (quest-giver?).

I was on the dragonage wikia and it said that Hawke and his family are related to the mage warden if you picked that origin. Has that been confirmed as true or did someone just post some bs?

As I said once or twice, I may actually play the default faces, as they don't look like playdough foundations.

Did it get unstickied because if started turning into a conversation thread? If so, Occam (if he has time and energy) might want to do a 2.0 thread to get it restickied...Unless the DA team has developed their own FAQ?

Even if it started turning into a "conversation thread", the first post alone should justify the sticky. It's for the people who are uninformed in DA2.

May be unstickied because it hasn't been updated since Dec 16th.

I was wondering if we will see the Grand Oak in the sequel? Even though he made only a small appearance he left quite a bit of an impression on me.

He decided to travel across the map from the brecelien forests to Kirkwall?

The mental image of a talking Oak strolling casualy by the folk of Ferelden while on his travels is kind of amusing.

I agree. I can just imagine people talking about a giant tree that rhymes roaming around and about, and others telling them they have gone bat**** crazy.

Nobody can be certain what gender the child is (like you seem to be). The only things we know about it are who it's parents are(Morrigan and either the Warden, Loghain, or Alistair) and that it's a "god baby". Just because all the Archdemons were male, doesn't mean Morrigan's baby is male. Because I don't recall any of the Archdemons being born from a woman's womb, do you? Therefore, the baby could be male or female.

I'm pretty sure Morrigan says the baby is male in Witch Hunt.

Oh. Okay then. I've never played Witch Hunt, so I had no way of knowing.

The bit about there still being a tactical camera is still outdated.
