New DLC is out named '' The Exiled Prince '' together with the companion '' Sebestian Veal '' an Exiled Prince that lost his family and here’s what the official DLC page says about Sebastian:
'' Adventure alongside Sebastian Vael, an archer of noble birth, as he seeks revenge for the brutal murder of his family. Aid him in his quest, and direct his righteous wrath on your enemies. Sebastian is a full companion character, complete with his own series of side missions. Gain the prince’s allegiance as part of The Exiled Prince downloadable pack included in the BioWare Signature Edition, or available separately for $7 or 560 Microsoft Points.
Sebastian Vael is a male, human, rogue (because of the bow, since only rogues will have bow skills). It’s unclear exactly where he hails from, but it can be assumed he’s likely from somewhere in the Free Marches, if not Kirkwall itself.
It’s obvious he’s bringing some baggage with him, that his family has been murdered and he’s out for revenge. From his title “The Exiled Prince” and the pretty snazzy armor he appears to be wearing, whether he’s actual royalty or not, he definitely looks like he comes from a pretty well-to-do family, likely with considerable wealth and/or power until they were wronged.
While Sebastian is free to anyone who gets the Signature Edition, he’ll still be available later on for purchase as DLC for $7 (560 MS Points). So if you’re still hesitant to pre-order (remember you also get some items and a downloadable soundtrack) you won’t miss out on Sebastion forever if you want him. However, the question of whether his DLC will be as big as Shale’s (The Stone Prisoner is $15 if purchased separately) remains to be seen. ''

Hmm, that's what I was afraid of. I was hoping that stuff was corroborated somewhere else. It was that same article that called Fenris a Mage too. For what it's worth, I believe them about Merrill, and probably MamaHawke's first name too for that matter, but still I think I'll wait until I have something to which I can link directly.Ramante wrote...

Thanks, I think so too. I wish we could change font size, though. That would make the headers really stand out.TriviaAeducan wrote...

Thanks, added that. Will add the others to those companions if/when they come out.SCARFEEST wrote...

Thanks, added. I wasn't sure which platform Mike was referring to in that post, but after re-reading the 1up article, I realized they didn't specifically say it wasn't attached to your character in the first place, so there's nothing to prove wrong.PinkysPain wrote...
The part about the tactical camera is no longer correct AFAICS.

I believe you, and like I said I think I believe the German article author (and the people who said the German article said it), but I would really need something I could link to before adding it. It's sort of the point of the thread: it won't have the MOST information, but all the information it DOES have will be totally verifiable.nightcobra8928 wrote...

(I broke that rule a few times, but only because I personally saw the scans from that GameInformer print article. I'd link to them too if it were allowed.)
Until some dev confirms it (and in a way that's not too vague) on the forums, it'll have to stay in the box I think.

Story :
There are more famous swords than you could count, there are helms beyond numbering, and there are breastplates, daggers, and even mystical footwear that roll immediately off the tongue. There are storied rings, gloves, and even bags invoked around a camp's common fire. But belts? There are very few noteworthy belts.
It was here that the dwarf Thaulid Hammerspur decided he would make his mark. Here, he thought, between the tunic and the trousers, I will stake my claim.
He was familiar with the state of the art, of course; as an artificer making a name for himself in Orzimmar, he had access to the typically robust record-keeping of the forges. He knew of the Drunkard's Cinch and the Pouchpaw. But there was no poetry to them, no lineage. They were parlor tricks, the domain of hawkers and pawns. He wanted a belt whose buckle gleamed with purpose, but what purpose? He worked on it from time to time, waiting for inspiration to strike. In the meantime, he needed something to keep his pants above the knee; he might as well wear the damned thing.
And he did so, until (after an especially memorable night at Tapster's Tavern) he managed to fall into his own forge. Shoveling out his remains, they found among the grey ashes his belt, somehow mercifully preserved.
Hindsight is a belt possessed of a strange, slow intellect. Whatever would have killed the wearer, does. At that very moment, the belt develops a resistance that would have saved them. No one knows how Thaulid managed this, and at this point, it would be difficult to ask him. When the belt is held in the light just so, the leather reveals a grisly catalogue, etched in glinting lyrium:
This thingy below refers to the people who wore '' Hindsight '' and died with it and the cause of it along with their name ;
"Thaulid Hammerspur, fire.
Gorgut The Wizened, poison.
Vil Arak, stabbed forty-three times.
Haliath Baronet, witches."
It went on like this for many years, until it fell into your possession. Your temporary, temporary possession.

I think that depends on how you define "tactical." It may be attached, but this picture seems to be pretty good for the purposes of "tactics," despite it being anchored on a character instead of freely movable.PinkysPain wrote...

If everything is not piled up the ranged characters can't use that kind of angle to aim.

Man I've heard about this some months ago. I only wish they would make a bit of a story for it in-game, maybe a side mision. I really think its something worth exploring, cause it has a lot of potential.SCARFEEST wrote...

That's not the only available angle--it was selected to make a cool screenshot with your party on one end and the mobs mostly on the other. You can move the camera around (if you watch the combat video, you'll see them do it) to get a better angle.
Now, if they've made it so you can do next/previous target with keyboard keys, I will be extremely pleased, as this is my preferred method of targeting in games like this anyway.

I don't see any confirmation in either of the places you posted that your sibling becomes a full-time companion. In fact, David Gaider said, REPEATEDLY, in threads complaining about the fact that you get either Bethany or Carver, that we don't yet know whether they become permanent party members or not.

I don't think it's confirmed that the other sibling that won't balance your party will die. The devs have said that you get the sibling and not the other, depending on your class. They didn't point out the the other sibling will die no matter what. We saw in the Destiny trailer Carver and Bethany both together post-prologue. I think that there is still a way for the other sibling to survive.
Both of you are right. Thanks; that's exactly the sort of casual speculation the thread is designed to avoid. It may very well turn out to be right (in fact I very much believe that one or the other will die no matter what), but until it's officially confirmed, it has no place in this post.

Is this still true? Does that mean that their face doesn't change, but the hair/skin colour/outfits change. A little like Fable. Hmm, so long as there are enough styles to make my different playthroughs feel unique, I won't mind. One issue I had with Fable 3 is that your character always looks basically the same.
It means that you can create a custom face, but the one seen in the videos can't be tweaked. It works like Mass Effect.
