Players will not be able to edit/tweak the default face for Hawke. They can still customize their appearance, but they can't use the default as a starting point


response ok so we cant make our face smaller but we can cutomize Hawke hair cause me a girly girl i loved dragon orgins hated the hair options should have longer hair and prettyer robes for witches

No, but SirOccam was suggesting it looked decent precisely because the angle was high.

The angle can only be high when aiming near ... that's the reality of a character centered camera. When everything is not piled up you're stuck with a low angle third person view.

Now, if they've made it so you can do next/previous target with keyboard keys, I will be extremely pleased, as this is my preferred method of targeting in games like this anyway.

Doesn't really help with FF AoE targeting though.

This is very refreshing!! My only issue is that the combat had better be much more streamlined and responsive than Origins, especially when characters keep having to jostle to get into combat positions to flank their opponents or behind them and such. Well, March isn't TOO FAR off... Let's see what else comes up...

The preset face cannot be changed, no. However, you can still make custom faces - you just can't tweak the preset bearded face.

Merrill's been announced through the new vid diary, so the only other companion left (that I'm aware of) is the human male mage. Could be Anders from DAA or Orsino, but most believe Orsino to be a dark-haired elf and the guy shown in the book Varric was holding had blonde hair and looked human.

Could've sworn most games with the depth of DA go into a lot of details on characters, classes, etc.I still feel like I don't know much about what's changed.

I feel like there should be way more companions then what there is, so far...I'm hoping that there will be more then the last game. I don't know, I'm just greedy that way...To me, I don't find many of the characters appealing yet. Is that weird?

I completely doubt that Anders will be a party member.  He already has a good supporting role for Awakening and the ending for him can pretty much be anything.  The person in one of the videos could just be someone who happens to look like Anders which this isn't the first time something like this happened in DA.

This Orsino guy might be the most likely person who is the last companion to be reveal because of some of his items in XBL, the staff alone has me convinced since it looks completely different from every other staff.  He might be Antivan based on his name.

One thing I have noticed just now is that in the first page, its said that Hawke's other sibling may die.  If the other somehow survived, it may be possible that you may get Bethany/Carver later on such as once you have all your possible companions (excluding Sebastian for obvious reasons).

In DA:O we had:
-Leliana
-Zevran
-Morrigan
-Wynne
-Oghren
-Sten
-Dog
-Alistair/Loghain (could only have one or the other)
-Shale (Day 1 DLC)

In DA2 we have:
-Aveline
-Varric
-Fenris
-Merril
-Isabela
-Unnamed male mage
-Bethany/Carver (can only have one or the other)
-Sebastian (Day 1 DLC)

Once we hear a confirmation about the male mage, we're only short by one character, which in DA:O was a dog.  So really, we're not in bad shape as far as companions go

Edit: and now we have a dog we can summon in battle, and who will hang out in Hawke's house otherwise.

This game had better be epic. From the trailers, I foresee darkspawn, qunari and possibly the Harvester(s) going to be involved. Big war, maybe Hawke will lead an army (mostly composed of templars; redesigned from what I see) against something. Champion means leader after all.



Also, hope in the game to perform that blood magic trick that Hawke used in the Destiny trailer to rip that qunari apart (but it does look like fire to me)

Good news on that front; that's already confirmed to be in game. It's a mage finisher (Crushing Prison I believe).

Hold up I thought we were getting like 10 companions?  I mean in the destiny trailer it showed 10 people in the blood dragon logo.
