i prefer the story of Fable 3 :P

You are a prince and you just take the throne, by killing your LAME brother :D

amazing story XD

But i will not be cynical and i will wait to see about what dragonage 2 will bring .... hmmm :P

Um, sorry, Fable 3 sucked. It was a horrible game that I completed in hmm, 3 hrs? Really unoriginal storyline and the whole look of the game was very “cartoony”. The only thing that really redeemed the game was the excellent voice casting – Stephen Fry, Simon Pegg etc. But in all, it just wasn’t a good game. The DA franchise at least has good writers that pull you into the story and make you, to some extent, care for your characters.
And awesome that Merrill will be a companion, but would be a lot more cool if Sandal was an active participant as well.

3 Hours really? I find that hard to believe

I thought Fable 3 was amazing, despite a few pretty major faults. I've been a fan of the Fable series since the beginning, but I think giving the hero a voice was a huge step forward. As was giving players a potential spouse that wasn't random_villager2947. The storyline was fantastic, and I would think fans of Dragon Age (or even RPGs in general) would appreciate the amount of decisions and consequences the game had. I thought it was interesting that becoming the King or Queen was really just the beginning. You had more of an effect on the world with your ass in that chair than with a sword in your hand. And there were some truly epic moments, like wandering through the Auroran desert. And let us not forget the classic Lionhead humor that was present throughout. Anyway, this is OT, but I definitely cared about the characters, much more than in past Fables at the very least.

I remember devs saying, that the dialogue wheel wont work like Mass Effects in a way that top answer is good, bottom is evil, and in between neutral, but i do not remember where exactly I read it. Can anyone help me?

i look at the fable series and see a diamond in the rough, it's got lots of potential and introduces great concepts but ultimately fell short when it came to execution.
for these concepts to work i think they should have taken a more serious down to earth approach than kid friendly and light hearted approach they've taken the series on, though it can still retain the whimsical charm the series has.

That's incorrect.
The dialogue options aren't ranked good, neutral or evil. They are ranked on intention.
So you have 'agressive', 'friendly', 'flirting', etc.

New info (source Fenris thread):
- Elves do not wear shoes (according to Gaider, the artists have a thing  when it comes to elves and shoes).
- Male elves are taller/just as tall as female humans -> elves are about the same height as humans (not sure about this, since Gaider wasn't sure about it)
More about the height of elves compared to humans

Most of the info about it is ranked in the OP;
A lot of posts
A lot of posts 2
One specific answer

Hope this answers your question. ^^

Edit: My choice of the word 'ranked' is probably not very good, I'm not sure that the agressive tone is always first and second option is always friendly. Just remember that there is no such thing as a morality meter like in ME.

"Also probably worth noting that we're not locked into specific icons per place in the wheel. Oh no. We have -much- more flexibility than that. We're like gymnasts."

So I think that options are mixed and do not appear always at the same place.

Thats what I was looking for, thank you:)

:blink::blink::blink:

This I do not like....Do elves have some pathological fear of footwear? It exists for a reason!

2. Will Fenris ever wear shoes?

No. The artists have this thing about elves and shoes. Don't get me started.

No idea, it is a pretty sensitive topic I think (hence the 'don't get me started'). xD

Here are the links to a two part interview with Mike Laidlaw.
Seen the first part, from yesterday, around one or two threads here, but couldn't see it on this thread, and the second part, from today, doesn't seem to be on any threads here yet.

After rewatching it, I'm pretty sure it's Sandal... I'd place money on it (and I hate that expression).

Great thread.

And as for the Fable 3 discussion, it had great ideas that weren't developed to their full potential, and I felt decisions weren't as complex as they should've been, especially lacking in intricate, far-stretching consequences. It didn't have the personalization present in DA.... plus battles were pretty boring :S

Aye, Fable III was a bit of a let-down, for myself, in all honesty.

The King/Queen part of the game boiled down to "Do I have enough money for this?", which I did (though I did make a habit of buying and renting out all homes possible), and, apart from the decision at the beginning, I'm honestly struggling to remember a choice we had to make that was as deep/emotional/difficult, or (even this is arguable) game-changing.

... Unlike Bioware games.

any of you knows if there will be the modding tool for DA II ?

for me, it's the only important thing, as with the mods the game can be everything we want.

Thanks for the answere.
