When I played the way I actually want to (sarcastic **** or surly), I pissed off people and could not unlock fun scenes or cinematics. I thought it was unfair to penalize my sarcastic characters that way, ESPECIALLY when they were basically "good". I'm really interested in the system here, where you can antagonize someone but still be their friend. And it makes far more sense to lose friendship over a major plot decision rather than a surly comment or two.
I also really like the idea of home bases and developing relationships over a decade. Maybe this is a horrible comparison, but it reminds me of good Harvest Moon or Rune Factory games, where you actually feel like you're in a living breathing community that changes over time.

Over a decade for DA2 does not equal to 10 years x 365.25 days x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds.
Over a decade for DA2 might equal to 5 or 8 main quests. If you spend 2 quests for introduction and completing your companion's personal quest, how many left for you to actually get to know them better?
Don't get me wrong. I am super excited with the idea. It's super grand and bring more realism to companion relationship. However, my experience with ME2 teach me, "wait till you finish your mission, then we'll talk" or relying for your companion to message you that they have something to tell, might not be the best player-companion interaction.
Fact is, if they don't start talking quickly, you will never know more about them.

I agree that Harvest Moon/Rune Factory is not directly comparable in this situation, given very different gameplay issues...I imagine this game will have a lot of time skips! Still, I feel like there is somewhat of an atmospheric or narrative comparison here, in that the story is more focused on one town/city that changes over time, which is really a neat kind of immersion, IMO.
I've never played ME2, unfortunately, being a Mac owner. I can definitely see your point - hopefully there won't be any incredibly annoying situations, like for instance a quest that you NEED to complete in order to have more dialogue with a certain character, but that is incredibly annoying/difficult/impossible to complete for whatever reason. I also see your point about only being able to talk to them after quests - I don't know though, I have a feeling dialogue won't feel too spare.
Didn't they also mention that there would be multiple personal quests? Or am I just making that up?

David and Luke (I think it was Luke) said that in the thread about the DLC character. ^^

Yeah, see, I just don't feel like companion interaction will be any kind of sparse. That's my vibe, anyway.

If that is the case, then they would likely post such information in the deutsch forums and not the english forums.

Flemeth has no horns, that's her hair.
You sure about that? It looks exactly like the female qunari concept art!
We just assume she is human because she was in Origins, but this is not necessarily the case.
What exactly tells you she is human in DA2?

The screenshots we've got of Flemeth represent her when she meets Hawke, when he's flying Lothering, just after the Warden left. Flemet is still alive at the time, because the Warden can't kill her at the time when Hawke fled Lothering. So she has the same body that she had when she met the Warden.

Damn, I didn't see that!
I guess I wanted her to be Qunari...oh well, thanks for clearing it up.

Hmm, I am wondering if her looks are also a part of Varric's "storytelling". Can someone confirm that?
