I personally am excited. I've already pre-ordered the game and while quite a few of the things I've read here make me worried a few others make me excited for it.

^which one?

I believe ravenimage is referring to Fenris.

Merrill.

But Fenris could easily be confused for a woman from the back, I suppose.

Okay. I'm pretty sure this info in on the OP and I'm being particularly dense by not being able to find it but, when it comes to importing saves from DA:O to DA2 if I import my save from witch hunt after playing the games and the other dlc first will that save contain all the info from the previous games?

I don't that much about my Golem save but I don't want to lose my awakening choices.

Looks like the targeted gamer enjoys little paths, stars, and AI''s like a certain one in ME2 telling them complex things like :"This is the Comm room."

After the events of ME2, the same thing is happening to DA2.

-companions having fixed outfits, no visual change. Only rings, belts , and necklaces can be equipped.

-removal of dual wielding warriors, rogues only using daggers, companions having a fixed class.

-removal of friendly fire until nightmare difficulty.

-less skills and spells.

-dialogue wheel that will fully benefit from the ME2 paraphrasing system, the on where your Shepard tend to say things that are no where written.

-the amazing addition of 2 siblings that are assigned to you based on your class.

mages get the male, rogues and warrior the female sibling which is a mage.

-game is shorter

-voiced protagonist requiring more funds, so less dialogue lines

-removal of Origins stories, and race choices.

-Facebook tie in to unlock more in game goodies, because EA has a 5 year deal with them.

-PC version being a parallel release, just like ME2, that game that had low res textures for armors on PC, and no option for high res in the menu, the same menu one had to enter to read the Codex, but who is doing that any way.

-removal of iso-camera

-removal of Arcane Warrior and the already confirmed things above, I just had a revelation that nothing, absolutely nothing that made me buy and enjoy the first game is present.

The import feature for saves was reduced to EA's battle with re-sales, and has nothing but cosmetic relevance.

So,it's time to move on, 2011 will be the year of RPG's, some of them even for those that don't need little stars and paths to guide them.

The combat looks improved in DA2, the clunky parts are gone, no one would dare to question things like Darkspawn exploding from a fire spell.

Oops, my mistake then.

Copy/paste? I'm pretty sure I read this somewhere before :?

edit:

Yup, I did. This isn't particularly new information so why the copypasta of somebody else's comment?

I remember hearing there's supposed to be some new previews early this week due to a new embargo lift. Is this true?

Is anything known about crafting? I'm still clinging to a hope that there will be something like armoursmithing, not a Wade who does that for me.

It is known that crafting is performed at stores now. It is also known that rather than having to carry around crafting items in your pack you find crafting item sources while exploring which you then use at the stores. It is currently unknown what exactly we will be able to craft.

Depends from which side of the Atlantic you look at it. To me it sais its release date is the 11th of March. Which would coincide with the already given European release date, so I take it I'm reading it correctly.

Ah, that would make sense. Thank you for the clarity =]

Why is it that the guys always get to have all the fun?  I still say we women don't count with Bioware.

kool game kool graphics cool combat- sad because no morrigan back T.T and no import from witch hunt - hope there will be an arcane warrior( mage with warrior power no strength needed) or an spirit warrior( warrior with mage power no magic needed ) since it looks in destiny trailer Hawke is somekind of one. Anyway anyone say his opinions about no import from witch hunt?

I don't know if someone already posted this and whether it qualifies as news, but there's this from GreyWardens.com that suggests Anders will return in DA2.

And @Daryan there should be an import from Witch Hunt. If at the end of the DLC your game auto-saves, then you will likely be able to import that into DA2.

edit: Regarding Anders I also stumbled across this, complete with a screenshot of everyone's favorite rogue mage as he seemingly appears in DA2.

Sweet! Another old face coming back. I thought Bioware stated they only brought back Isabela and Merril because they got no development in DA:O but Anders was very much developed. I suppose Awakening's shorter length may have something to do with it.
