Hey, I think you should add some info from this post: http://social.biowar...1/index/3164235

Interesting quotes:

Mary Kirby:

"... instead of only getting content and combat bonuses based on positive approval, you can either build a rapport or an antagonistic relationship with your companions. Negative approval means they want to show you up, or see you fall on your sorry behind, but they still stick around."

"There are way fewer gifts, and the gifts are follower-specific"

"..Followers can still turn on you or abandon you, regardless of how much they like you, based on your actions. (Like Leliana and Wynne at the Urn.)"

If your PC male sleeps with her at any time, she ends up pregnant. Which is weird, since this is triggered if you only slept with her once in the beginning of the game, and it still counts. You think she would have started to show a little. The Lulu effect.

EDIT: Holy crap, I spelled it "pegnant". I don't care if I've been quoted into permenance, I'm changing it.

And fine, I saw the red target painted on Cailan's back the moment I met him, but DUNCAN... :crying:

I found what happened to Duncan as a WTF moment.  I saw him in every single trailer, every one acted like he was such a badass, and I expected that I would have some sort of connection to him in the game.  But then he goes off and gets killed within the first hour.  Super badass characters kick ass throughout the game and if they die, they die at the very end after kicking everyone's asses.  Badasses don't die in the beginning of the game.

That's why I feel no connection to Duncan, and I don't feel like he was such an awesome guy.

Really? Oh gosh, Duncan seemed dead, dead, dead to me. I don't know if TVTropes has a walking dead wise old mentor trope...hold on let me check...

Hell yeah.

So does it say this in the epilouge or something?

It's heavily, heavily implied, yes. The epilogue acts sort of like the Codex, where some things are only "rumors" and they've "heard" of it. But yeah, look on the wikia.

well I'llbe damned,I did not remember that little bit. XD Stillldoesn't change the fact that not everyone did the DR so only somepeople would have the GodBaby, some would have normal Wardern Baby and, and others will have neither.

The "No exclusive organization. No saving the world. No ancient evil" bit has me wondering. What are we supposed to do then?

Could be an indicator that the game will be more sandboxy and we are supposed to live in the world of Thedas and do what a Thedian does, similar maybe to games like Oblivion and Morrowind. Or at least I am hoping it's going to be more like that :) Sometimes it is fun being the person in the background instead of the glory-hogging hero.

I don't see how that's consistent with being the Champion of Kirkwall.Be nice if a PC could just refuse that, but I guess that's tantamount to ending the game.

Wait a second here. How does Morrigan ALWAYS end up pregnant? My male warden made the ultimate sacrifice AND never slept with her in-game.

Also, what I really want to know is if there are same-sex romances options still, haha.

I shouldn't have said always. But I was sure that she always got pregnant regardless.

I may of made a mistake. My apologies if I got you confused.

The devs aren't ready to talk about any romances yet, going by their posts. Image IPB  It will be a while before we know.

Aside from my general sorrow that my DA:O character will not be making a comeback, what concerns me the most are the reports suggesting a 'Mass Effect-style dialogue wheel with paraphrased lines and symbols denoting tone' will be used. I loved it in DA:O that my character said exactly what I chose. In Mass Effect I really hate it when I choose one of Shepard's replies and he says something completely against my will.

From what I understand, they are taking the "sort-of-Mass-Effect" approach. I'm not bothered by this since everything is still speculation :D

Same thoughts on this one too. I wasn't really a fan of Oblivion and Morrowind but I trust Bioware won't screw this up. Dragon Age is such a successful IP that it would be a waste of their effort to release something not even half as good as the original.

More sandboxy. That would be great, although it would be a big surprise. BioWare isn't known for open world games and since DA2 will be narrative-oriented, I don't expect that to be the case. Besides, they are not giving any hints that they may be going in that direction. Would be cool though.

I don't particularly WANT a sandbox-type game, personally.

Also, I for one am kind of glad my Warden's not the main character. The thing is, I never even bought Awakening because... I didn't really like the Wardens. The first character I made, and the one I still feel closest to as a character, HATED being a Warden. I could not imagine him ever actually sticking with them post-game. Awakening wasn't really giving me a way to actually continue his story, and it frustrated me. (My second character, female dwarf, stuck around with them, but once I found out Alistair wasn't in the game at ALL if you didn't make him king -- even though in the ending of THAT storyline, they were leading the Wardens TOGETHER -- it just made me sigh, roll my eyes, and save myself forty bucks.)

I posted this in another thread, seems more appropriate here.

Ok, as we have seen with Mass Effect 2 this wreaks of EA tampering. While it is still early, I liked playing as different races, now we only have choices of male and female. I hope that they do not lose the soul of this game for the sake of pleasing some ignoramous in a suit at EA's opinion of what the game should be. It almost sounds like they are abandoning the Grey Wardens for this story seeing as there will be no Darkspawn to battle. Mass Effect 2 dazzled us with better graphics, bells and whistles, but the story was not as compelling as ME1. I just gotta ask them, why would you mess with a winning formula? Again, still early, but I hope they do not make the mistake of practically ignoring the events and characters of the first game except to acknowledge it as a back drop for who Hawke is. They made such a big thing about Morrigan at the end of DAO and then say nothing more? This sounds more like a spin off than a sequel.
