Update. The qunari now have demon-horns and red skin in a new change of style.

In other news, I believe I would have to be forced at gunpoint to buy this game looking at what they are doing to it.

By everyone saying Morrigan's story is not over.

David Gaider said the only way Morrigan has the god-child is if you do the ritual. So no, it's not canon.

edit: Perhaps this could be added to the OP? It may not be directly relevant, since we don't even know if Morrigan will be in DA2 yet, but it might be of interest to some people.

I think it should be added to the OP, if only because so many people assume the dark ritual was "canon."

But it would change the politics of the country as a whole.

It would change the politics of a country that we won't be adventuring in--at least, probably not past the beginning of the game.  Again, I can see my choice being mentioned (and I want it to be mentioned), but not necessarily imitated in other lands.

The skin is obviously tattooed/painted. Plus keep in mind it's concept art.

Interesting...so what would one have to do to make you stop trolling?

Added.

I think I need to reorganize the list though...it was fine early on, but it's getting so big it's hard to find stuff. Maybe sort it by "category" instead of source. Like "About Hawke", "DAO Carryover," "new characters", "mechanics," etc.

I am curious about the dark ritual not being canon and what that will mean for Dragon eff--Dragon Age 2. Will the force off the death of the warden/Alister?

No, that would just be trading one canon for another. Per David Gaider, there is no canon. "Canon" would mean one true story that happened regardless of how your personal game turned out. I take this to mean that they intend to support all the different options as fully as is feasible.

In other news, I continue to post and I have no reason to be here.

Its a shame the DR isn't canon. That plot line has to be one of the coolest and world changing plots. I hope that somewhere down the line we get resolution on that.

Why is that a shame?  The DR happened if the player accepted Morrigan's offer.  If they didn't, it never happened.  I think that's great because then it's fair to everyone.

It would be a shame if something else were canon, but I don't think simply not being canon means we won't get a resolution. In fact, nothing being canon is encouraging, since it means that whatever happened in your game really happened, and is therefore something that can be followed up on. I seriously doubt they'd introduce something like having a baby PERIOD, much less a baby infused with the spirit of an Old God, without planning on following up on it.

I'm going to wonder forever about the baby you can have as a Dwarf Noble.

...and I'm going to wonder what that kid looks like if Morrigan has a kid with a dwarf Warden :?  Unless Morrigan's...I dunno...witch-ness overrides any resemblence to the father or something.

Maybe the god-ness does?

When i first heard the guy say Red skined with horns i was very worried, but it looks like they are basically the same as before just with horns and tribal like tatooes, looks interesting, but man they really are changing the disigns in this game :P

Yeah worried me too when I first read that but it seems an over exaggeration. The horns just match to what they look like as dark spawn and that tat's seem to fit them well. I like that they are more distinct looking as a race in the concepts instead of just looking like big bronze gridiron players of the DA universe :P

Hmmm, I don't particularily like the new look of the Qunari, but now just by looking at them, it's easier to tell why Qunari Broodmothers create Ogres.
