That REALLY needs to be stickied. By a dev. Because a lot of people just don't get it.

   People get it alright but its not what many people want. Many players invested several hours playing their wardens till the end of origins and through downloadable content. For the most part there was no real ending (unless you killed yourself for no real reason IMO ) many things were left hanging. Many of us would prefer a return to that character and that story rather then the "Dragon Effect" Hawke direction DA2 is currently taken. Just because other people have different likes and opinions don't down play them as people just not getting it. It does a diservice to your fellow players and in general makes you look bad. Neither prefernce is right or wrong you want a whole new story Fine. Others want more of the original Both are prefectly acceptable but different. You are allowed to state you likes don't begrude us if we simply let Bioware know we'd like more of the Original Dragon story.
  No real reason we can't have both is there?

  Hard to say, at this point. maybe EA/bioware will consider revisting the Origins saga/storyline if enough people voice interest (or vote with their wallets and not buy DA2) other wise I assume Biowares just taking our wardens stories / choices, and game and trashing it as others have voiced

Yes...yes...someone should have told Mario Puzo and Francis Ford Coppola that when they wrote Godfather 2. How excited would you have been if Terminator 2 had nothing to do with Sarah or John Conner, and was just some other story of how some other Terminators hunt, annoy, and kill people? How about if Aliens just completely ignored the fact that Ripley got away and just told a different story with different people. I could go on and on, but the whole point of the idea of "sequel" is to continue the same story. That is what a freaking SEQUEL is for Pete's sake.

DA2 does not sound like it is actually a sequel - merely another story set in the same world. I was hoping for an actual sequel, hence I am extremely disappointed....right now. If further news sheds more authentic sequel light, then I reserve the right to embrace it at that time.

The graphics are worse, new character, anime-style art direction...ok...this game goes from "must buy" to "will watch with raised eyebrowes"... >___>

It really is too soon to tell with the little information we have gotten so far. DA:O was not a perfect game, although a good one, and they are probably making changes to improve the game. Now whether or not we will like these changes-we will just have to wait and see. Personally I like the way things are going. It adds a new twist to the world of Dragon Age. From the screenshots everything seems more defined, especially facial features and even though we won't be playing our warden, who's to say we won't enjoy the Hawke character just as much?

To most people, the most dissapointing part of DA2 will be that it is not DA:O but that does not make DA2 atomatically a bad game. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see many of the old characters again, but I am hopeful that any new characters we meet in DA2 will be just as enjoyable if not more.

One-he looks like a douche(oh I now we can change his looks, but the image remains official), two he is a human and not everybody likes to play a race so easily hated, and third he has a name many people find cheesy.

Thus proving that you don't have any clue as to how storytelling is done. Aliens COULD HAVE been stand-alone. Terminator 2 could not have, Godfather could not have. Well, Godfather more than Terminator because it was FROM THE SAME BOOK. That's why it's called Part II.

Please explain to me how Dragon Age 2 is anything like Mass Effect 2, and then explain to me why Mass Effect 1's system was so much better than Mass Effect 2's.

What's with the people complainning with all the "sucky graphics"?

You DO know that those images were taken during alpha/beta stages, right?

I'm not much of an expert at this, but I belive during those stages, there are still many things that will improve...



And PC players... don't complain so much, I have a PC myself, but I don't go all whinny about what other's have that I don't...



You consider the PC platform the most ripped off. Stop and think for a minute, just look at the mods out there for our version and compare it. Who do you think that wins?

Yeah I find that stupid that they arent bringing back Morrgain and her "God Child" they left the whole ending of the first game to set up a part 2 of trying to find Her and the kid. If they dont do that its stupid and they will be losing a player of the awesome game

No, they didn't.  If you did the Dark Ritual, it's in your game as an unresolved issue.  That doesn't mean it's in someone else's.  If you romanced Morrigan, got burned by her, and want to find her with your Warden, that's fine.  But it doesn't mean other people did, and it doesn't mean they want to spend DA2 hunting for Morrigan.

I LOVED Morrigan.  She and my Warden were BFFs.  But not every story has a 100% happy resolution where everything works out for the hero.  Ambiguous endings are part of modern fiction--look at Inception, for god's sake.  And at any rate, the devs have said Morrigan's story isn't over.  Maybe you'll see her again with the Warden, kid in tow.  Or maybe not, who knows?

I do like it when people say what they hated in DAO and would like to see in DA 2, or maybe what they just want in DA 2 to be because...they dreamed of it last night. I myself pretty much liked the old graphics, had no problem with them on the pc with high settings. And i've played Oblivion, Fable, Overlord, Mass Effect and so on. Heck, when i played Fable 1 my computer was SO screwed up that the grass would be white and the water yelloish (looked like vomit). Yet i enjoyed it.

NO other game made me want to play it again....and again like DAO did. Let's not complain in these early stages...let's leave the devs do their job, cause they are artists. Everything must evolve....so what if the qunari have horns? Maybe they just decided it's trendy this year! So what if Flemeth when to a stylist? So WHAT if we can't play as a dwarf/elf. How many did you play as elf/dwarfs the first time? Or purley because you love elfs, not because they had an interesting Origin.

I do have my complains (like the DAO woman body) and my wants (to see lady Hawke) but there's still 1 year in which i will hug my Warden ^_^And wait...and stalk the forums xD

People need to just get over it already. Yeah, it's unfortunate that it turns out DA2 isn't going to be about your Warden or Morrigan. Have a little cry, then MOVE ON, for God's sake. I mean, I'm as obsessed with Morrigan as anyone can be, and even I have made my peace with it.



This idea that your time playing DA:O was an "investment" is just laughable. Guess what, it was a game. No one promised you a sequel at all, much less one with the exact subject matter you desire.



As good as DA:O was, it wasn't the game to end all games. There is plenty of room in the universe for a game that's not about your Warden. The idea that DA2 has to be about your Warden or it can't be good is just ludicrous.



Now kindly quit your ****ing. If you have something useful (or at least original) to say, then by all means, do so.

I can live with that but more unfortunate is the lack of player's choices, less RPG elements, and more combat orientation, as well as cheesy new art style as well as naming.
