I dont know if it was a good thing when bioware made a game and you didnt hear anything from them in a year or two, now they are turning out games like hotcakes.
Come again?

Well with their recent successes it's only natural that they have the funds to make more games at once.

For all we know, this could take place in the last decade of the Dragon Age and could lead into the next age by the time the decade is done.
the game takes place over a 10 year span so there might like another 5 year or so from dao to da2Riona45 wrote...

This game? Definitely not. We know the game begins with Hawke's flight from Lothering, which took place during the first game which was 30 years into the age. By the end of DA2, we will only be about 40 years in (each age is 100 years long).

My point was that we still would not be near the end of the age.

So then...DA3 would be about the world being on the brink of war, and some new hero either facilitating it or fixing it? *hits self* No, no, far too early to speculate about what happens AFTER DA2. Bad Sable

Once we get to DA3, and if it's still during the Dragon Age, it's going to be pretty amazing that all of these epic heroes!! are appearing within a few years of each other. That's why I dislike when a new protagonist is called the greatest hero, because then, next time, you're job is to trump that.

On DA2 importing stuff from Origins:
You know what would be awesome?
If your character from Origins was the evil endgame boss in DA2. Like, in the movie before the final battle, the mysterious Blight commander removes his helmet and you see it's the character you spent so many hours perfecting a couple of years ago. Imagine the shock and feeling of betrayal... if you played a good guy in Origins that is.
I would go like: "No."

If this turns out to be true, I'll consider this a spoiler and hunt you down sir.If I see something like "which save character would you like to import" and I don't see that character for the entire game, right until the final boss, I'M gonna go like: "No!".
It would be kinda awesome though.

Well, it's not without historical precedent, however unlikely it may be. For example, the 30 or so years around the French Revolution produced a lot of individuals who had major impacts on Europe. I would hardly call Robespierre, Napoleon, Tallyrand, Lafeyette, and their kin "epic heroes," but they were hugely influential. It's likely that the Dragon Age of Thedas was just an extraordinary time that provided opportunity to a few key extraordinary individuals.
