Oh please don't blame us for the loss of your sanity. If you ever had any in the first place.

MY SANITY WAS STOLEN BY YOU ALL.

YOU SOLD IT TO AFFORD YOUR NEXT HIT.

ADMIT IT.

I'm liking just about everything I'm seeing and hearing at the moment from BioWare. I won't go on with that because I don't have the time for a wall of text!

There is one thing I do not like, however. I do not like the armors, and I hope they are not all the same as Hawke's in a certain facet. What do I mean by that? If you take a look at the armor (which is more like a few armor pieces added to his clothing rather than an actual armor set) you'll notice that the right shoulder, right elbow, knees and feet all have armored spikes. I do not like spikes one bit. It looks a bit too much like the darkspawn armor(s).

Basically, I'm hoping when and if we find other armors, we can do away with the spikes. Or, since it is concept art, maybe they will do away with the spikes. It looks way too cheesy...

I keep thinking that maybe he has picked up some darkspawn armor because it sure as heck looks that way but I'm sure there will be lots more styles. And no need to go through the pages of text, everything you need to know about this thread is on that first page :)

I will be incredibly lame to use the ME2 system for DA2. Not like they would, anyway. It just would not work. It worked for ME2 because of the universe and they could make up new rules.

I'll make my darkspawn armor hot pink.

For the last mission with my final ME2 character, I changed armor to hot pink so the Collectors would know they got beaten by a girl.

So is it or is it not going to be a mix between DA and Mass Effect.???....and if it is, how do we have to call it, Massive Dragon Effect: to mix to be a proper sequel???

My only problem with spikier (or hornier, if y'all prefer :pinched:) armor is the clipping issues.  I don't usually mind these things, but it's a trifle disconcerting when I'm chatting with Sten and his pauldrons are clipping through his arm.  Worse still when kissing Alistair, and his gauntlets clip into the PC's head.  ALISTAIR WANT BRAAAAAINZ.

I solved the problem by just taking their clothes off.  But still, I shouldn't have to resort to such drastic measures

This thread is getting a bit heavy on the chatter. I would prefer not to lock it, as it is a useful resource. However, I will if it progresses much further in this direction. Remember this a discussion forum; not a chat room.

As for console hate (which is in your quote but not by you and i adress sepretely) it only exists in the minority with PC, it's like sega vs nintendo, with console as nintendo and pc as sega, with pc lose'n more exclusives to mass market consoles the bitterness tends to get more rabid, it happens (ps3 vs 360 is a joke, their the same system with 95% the same games, it's a system war of console vs pc now)

I see.  So it essentially boils down to the same wankage as 90% of internet discussions.  And we all need to have Elmo and Big Bird teach us once again about how different isn't bad :D  And I'm well aware that my glibness does me no credit--I'm just relatively new to gaming, only been gaming substantially in the last five years or so, and some of the nerdrage truly baffles me.  Can't we all just love each other?

I have no hate for the consoles I have both the 360 and PS3. Though I'm a realist and I realize that 99.9% of console titles are pretty streamlined down to fit functions on a controler with limited space.  Compare the console GUI's of DA to the PC's GUI and it's fairly easy to see which one is superior when it comes to options and control. Thats not bashing, its just stating fact. Thats not to say the console versions aren't functional or by any means less fun, the pc sku just offers more is all.

I tend to think people confuse the idea that in order to have distinct personalities in a title of this nature, that there needs to be a limited scope, be it character looks (armor outfit etc) or narrow conversation options. Neither of which are actually the case.

Most of the old timers who've been around the block with Bioware for a number of years now, have come to expect a level of customization and actual layers of choice and polish when it comes to Bioware RPG's. Spoiled perhaps but at this point its expected.

Looking at their last couple releases (ME2 and Awakenings) along with the current info release for DA2, they appear to be moving in the exact opposite direction (vast changes to  the conversation system for the worse in Awakening, vast changes to customization in player character in DA2, mass stripping of skills in ME2 just as examples among others) and quite frankly its disappointing to watch. That doesn't mean I'd call for a boycott or anything overly dramatic of the sort. I would however like to have my voice heard and displeasure noted about it, in hopes that it falls on ears with the ability to make sure that corners aren't cut to push product out the door before its ready and comprimises aren't made just to sate their new parent company who doesn't exactly have the best reputation when it comes to quality or listening to the fans.
