Whoa - SirOccam was not joking about the spoilers in GamePro! You, sir, took one for the team. I salute you. And chuckle at your "sigh" in the comments section. ^_^

DG suggested that the events that the reviwer saw in the demo are not set in stone.  Hius words were "that was th eresult in their playthrough."  So the spoilers in that article might not quite as bad as it seems.

They are still spoilers though ;)

Judging by the Quanari content and that Hawke is tasked with assisting in rebuilding the Chantry it can be assumed that we are looking at a crusading invasion of the Qun.

In that case I hope we can side with the Qunari.

What? Sten converted me, and I can make my fortune as a baker of cookies under the new regime!

I think that it changes based on gender. I have no proof and only speculation but it makes sense to me.

No dialogue wheel in PC? Thats too bad :(
Oh, well... there are still some long months till release, maybe they'll change their minds :)

No, the Dialouge whell is still in the PC version. That chat seems to be refering to an ability wheel. So in the PC you abilities will be in a quick bar with the hot keys 1-0 used for the first 10 and slots for the rest. This is ONLY for ABILITIES not for dialouge. The chat quoted is a bit confusing.

Also this thread is only outdated because Sir Ocky is on vacation and can not really do much. =/

Hooray! :D
Now I'm happier lolz
I'm glad they keeped the old version of ability usage, it makes my life a lot easier.

I hope you're right, otherwise those of us playing Lady Hawke are going to have a very female heavy party to start with! Posted Image

Great update.

I still haven't read the serious spoilerific Gamepro article even though I've seen the mention of the deaths in the forum post.

Hi to everyone,

Now I don't know if someone had already asked this or not. DA2 is about a guy who is suppose to rule over something? Did I get that right? If he is, then do we get something like in Awakening with the Keep?

I like what Bioware did with the Keep in NWN2 and DA:A and was hoping to see something similar in DA2. Anyone has the same opinion?

Russian site adds something I'm not happy with: they claim that in the end of demo Hawke agrees to deliver a letter from Flemeth AND fulfill any request of the person it addressed to.

I sincerely hope we have an option of screwing Flemeth, I worked so hard in Origins to kill old wench!

Can anybody from Bioware tell that we aren't forced to stupidly fulfill request of Flemeth's sidekick or whoever getting the letter, like we were forced to save Arl Eamon?

On the first page of this thread it says:

"The player decides whether Hawke is a kind ruler or an unscrupulous
despot. He's called Champion - the question is: 'By whom?'" [GameStar
Sept 2010 article] NEW

So it sounds likely. :wizard:

Man I would love it if they made it so Hawke would rule over some land and give orders to soldiers :P Well let's hope they say something more about it :D

I'd hope they'd do better than that, by allowing Hawke to toss the letter rather than deliver it.

I recommend adding a spoiler section and a nonspoiler section to the main post.

There was a lot of information, (mostly already said) in the online chat with BioWare. Just wondering if you got that covered. Nice thread you have made, great resource.

You mean, "I like what Obsidian did with the Keep in NWN2..."  Bioware did the first NWN, Obsidian did the second one.  Though I agree, I like the keep management.  Adds something a little different. I suppose the idea does go back at least to BG2, with the Strongholds, though I hadn't made that connection until the last day or two, but I like the expanded feel of it in NWN2 and DA:A.

There are so many comments for DA2...

Did anyone mention, how weak the graphics look? Okay, the game isnt finished, but i dunno if there will be such a big change in that small amount of time; because i dunno if Alpha is possible only half a year before the game is out.

And my biggest concern: The Darkspawn Genlocks, Hurlocks and Ogres look -imo- really, really bad ingame and outgame.

The rest of the game i am not very concerned about, i think Bioware will make it a good experience like DA:O.
