Gray wardens are a kind of single purpose organisation and the next Archdeamon is not sheduled to turn up for a couple of decades so I dont think that they will play a major role in DA2.

I doubt the Grey Wardens will have any major role in DA2, but perhaps we'll see a few pop up. I mean, if they want to be truly heroic, it would be nice to help in other matters as well.
Also, if DA2 ends up taking place during the Blight (as well as after the Blight...the game spans 10 years), then we might see some info on the Wardens. But I doubt we'll really see many Wardens considering that your PC and Alistair were the only two Wardens in Ferelden for awhile.
