Also, pass this along to the Mass Effect devs because for some reason they took the option away in ME2...

Just put a toggle in, so people who don't like helmets can hide them, and those who do can keep them.

HA! That's why I don't need helms in Origins, THEY Don't make a difference for me, I STILL KICK ASS play the whole game without dying on normal... On nightmare only a few deaths
My first playthrough I used helmets just to make my guy as strong as possible. On my second playthrough, I didn't touch a single helmet because I was so annoyed with them <.<

I have a related suggestion. Dont remove helmets in conversations. Its bloody ridiculous. What kind of idiot would take their helmet off in the middle of a battlefield just to talk?!

Yes, a toggle would be ideal.

Ah but the question is: Would you wear one if you could hide it but still get the bonuses?

No, because I imagine characters in game can still see it and they giggle at me while my back is turned.

In casual conversation I can understand, but during the epic final battle I want my damn helmet on.
And is it so hard to make hoods instead of ****** helms?

I'm gonna take a guess there's gonna be a mod for this. Which then makes this thread pointless. Which it might actully be in the first place. Though I'm not saying it's wrong.
Currently, no mods fix the mage helms, and the ones that prevent helms from showing up on characters are pretty buggy at best

Really? Well then I was wrong I guess. Doesn't seem like such a hard thing to do.

Plus it wouldn't fix the issue for console versions.

Really because the mod I used to hide my helmet works pretty good, the helmet shows up on your character on the inventory screen but other than that it is pretty good.

That is the one I use and for me it works great, works with Awakening as well. However if you cant get it to work it could be because of a conflicting mod.
