Prefering to play evil mages who only cares about power and personal gain myself, id like the option with enough cohercion to talk down an "evil opposing villain" to join me as a companion.

Much like you could get Sarevok in baldurs gate.

Maybe a snarky female squad mate.

Have to also have a dwarf and an elf for that fantasy theme.

Another strong-willed type who will sort of challenge your leadership. I don't mean like Sten, I mean like if Alistair had had more of a spine. Like maybe it's not totally obvious that you should be the leader. I'd like to see disagreements and maybe even arguments instead of everyone always deferring to you.

Like someone posted earlier, a female who isn't crazy. Someone like...Mhairi.

But I also like the "dangerous" women, like Morrigan and Jack from ME2. So one of those, too, please. :P

An older, wiser companion is good too. I really liked Wynne in DAO, and even if someone like her doesn't make it in, someone who will actually ask you about how you're feeling every once in a while would be nice. I think the rest of the gang from DAO ask you like one question each (I remember Leliana asking about how it was living in the Alienage, Zev asked about your home while talking about Antiva, etc.), but then they go straight back to yammering about themselves. Meanwhile Wynne counseled you about adjusting to life as a Warden, your relationships, your duties and responsibilities, etc. It was nice.

A demon character--think about the story potential that gives! Did you enslave the demon, or did it promise you something?

Female Qunari, a Douche, and a Gryphon

Would love to see at least references to the old characters.

I want a "friendly" abomination. By that I mean that the demon and human having some Faustian time-share program or something, relying on one another for their own goals. Also epic transformations. Kinda like if Morrigan was crossed with Jade Empire's Wild Flower.

a 'good' darkspawn.....

I wish people would stop saying this because it doesn't make sense. Regardless of how good it is, a darkspawn is still a darkspawn. The darkspawn spread a disease called the blight. All of your party members would get sick and turn into ghouls. The only ones immune to it are the Grey Wardens.

That's a great idea. It would be a nice change of pace.

A rogue you grew up with as your sister

A elven fighter and half elven mage who are lovers and friends of your foster father

An insane beserker barbarian with a hamster who is on a quest to protect another human female barbarian mage who is quite stern

Touché.

Unrelated note: Jorian had a good point about introducing vampires. Some other new races/classes would certainly add to the newness.

What he said would be the "strong-willed type":

I'd like to see disagreements and maybe even arguments instead of everyone always deferring to you.

That's what I meant. I want there to be more dissonance in the party, more conflict. People not always deferring to the player all the time.

Chimera. Seriously. Chimera. As a companion as an enemy as an NPC as an Easter Egg, I don't care just put one in. Chimera.

A rival that dogs you at every turn for 5 years in the game than after beating that person a million times and making the right choices you get that person as a companion.

i give you a hint: from a more low-budget RPGmaker origin game, that saga has still one of the best stories in rpg history
