Problem: Abnormaly long loading screen (I gave up after 10 min compared to a norman <30 sec) loss of Alt-Tab functionality at the start of "Dossier: The Warlord".
 
Behaves like a freeze with only the *.bik movie working.

The only problem I have had up till now is a unreproduceable crash related to the tactical pause.

Any help would be appreciated

completed all available Dossier missions before this.

Completed Kasumi DLC

char is imported from a "cheated" ME1 save (no glicthces just console commads because I didn't want to spent more than 20 hrs recreating a char I lost. Commands included equipment (all valid), levelups, morality shifts, and granding specialization and spetre talents)

My game progress is stonewalled until I can resolve this matter. Help would be most appreciated.

Have you completed this mission before, or is this your first time through the game? I'm going to suggest re-installing the game regardless, but if you've never played this mission before that's definitely what I'd go for. If the game has been working fine otherwise, a recurring problem usually means a corrupted file.

First time through.

I am hopeing to avoid a reinstall if possible. I have the steam version and am stuck with bandwidth limited Satilite internet for the summer (I can download from 0:00-5:00 MST at ~80 kbps). A redownload is a daunting aspect.

I have run verrification on the game cache. That returned good (but ran suspiciously fast for my internet)

On the local net a family member has ME2 instaled and I tried load my save there. It went to squad selection screen without problem (Though I now realize that was with internet off). I am currently backing up that install via steam to reinstall on my machine. I will reply momentarily as to if this solves the problem.

Completly removed then restored from before mentioned other install. Works now. Note: restore over current install didn't.
