Would anyone mind having the choice to customize your companions faces/skin?

Why?
You would still get the default apperance.

Don't get me wrong, I'm generally all for customization, just not for my companions. I want the best customization for my own character, but beyond changing attire, I'm not interested in customizing my companions; cause it's not what I should do. They are their own individuals (well, in this game atleast). This is not the Sims where you are in full control of everything every character wants or does. In RPGs ala Dragon Age they are their own characters and I have my own character who I can, or atleast am justified, to customize however I want; cause I'm in control of that character, I AM that character. D'you understand? It's about control. I shouldn't have that kind of control over my companions. It's an immersion breaker.

I totally agree, your campanions ar there own selves and you shouldnt be able to control anything beyond what they wear.

I would rather not personally, takes the uniqueness away from your allies.

If you can change them to how you personally want them to look, then surely that makes them more unique?

The personality will stay the same....so they will always be unique.

Some people...I think this would be a great option...or maybe customizing the faces and skin of family.

Is it because you feel you should not mess with companions?

Or what?

I definitely would. I want to see BioWare's characters, not create my own companions

Seconded. The only "thing" I want to customize is my own character.

I would find the feature utterly worthless, but that's not the same as minding that it's there.

If you want to change the looks of your companions, use the toolset.

And yeah, Arttis, I see that you don't have one.  Better get DA2 on PC if you want to do this.

I don't think it would be terrible but I prefer to get to know the NPCs for who they are "warts and all". Just like real people.

Even if BW wanted to, can you install mods on consoles without going thru MS or Sony? If you want to mod, go with PC, if you want to mod on console, realize you will feel like sh*t forever. Try to have realistic expectations.

so lets have it all built in the game for easy face morphing for companions.no modding on console.

*sees thread and several mentioning of the toolkit*

*remembers having a crappy PC*

*remembers not having cash to upgrade anything*

*runs out of thread crying*

Nope, I wouldn't like that. It's wrong. The companions are the companions. Like them or not that's what they are.

it would be a choice....and why make peoples choices limited? If you choose to not use it you can do that.I do not understand the opposition on this for choice.

These are characters the writers and artists created with their own looks and backgrounds, carefully written and sculpted over months and years why would you want to swap that out to maybe make someone into a black dwarf with pig tails?

Plus it would ruin immersion being in complete control of what everyone around you looks like. Do you randomly decide to change your friends clothes and cut their hair? An extreme example but I honestly dont see the point in even having the choice.

Because it gives the choice to people who do not like what they look like.Rarely in games do they comment much on looks.*its not a book where they go all out on a description*

Yes well you would only get the choice at the start. Its not like mid game you would be able to change them.*that would break immersion*

Honestly, I prefer to leave companions be. I've added mods to various games before but changing companion portraits or faces has never been something I've desired. They are what they are, as shepard_lives says.

However, I do like to determine what my own character looks like.

I'm all for more choices, I swear, but this just seems so wrong. If we do that we might as well be given the opportunity to change their dialogue and story.
