Why do I think of games like Gears of War and even Mass Effect every time I hear/see this name?

To me it just doesn't sound very Dragon Age-like.

I kinda wish I never started to browse this forum, as I seem to becoming more pessimistic by the minute.

I still have faith in Bioware, but if they do go the Mass Effect route somewhat with this wonderful, captivating new franchise, then they can 'Hawke' right off.

I am less worried by the name Hawke than about not being able to play any race I want, or to continue with a transferred character, or that the origins are all cut too

actually I liked both Treasure Planet and Titan... that still doesn't make me want to mess up fantasy themed DA with sci-fi ME

most likely, I don't see any other plausible cause to cut other races from the game than to be purely lazy to find multiple voice actors for all of them

probably but Hawke still feels like a little contrived would be nicer if it was a bit more neutral
