But a little more indirect.
Like you will see playing DAO was not pointless in DA2.
Do not know how to link and all but i saw it with my own 2 eyes.

Much like how ME1 saves carried over to ME2.

Gathering an army
Uniting Ferelden
Killing the Archdemon
is what will be passed on to the new game for sure.

I dont need a link if you guys say it's there i'll believe you. As i said i mostly been hearing people complaing about their choice of race being limited and speculation that hawke could be the old god child.Kalfear wrote...

Dragon Age Origins was very much a classic RPG, adapted for Consoles. This includes character creation, a player party, item-management and semi-tactical combat.
Now the image that has formed in my head after reading about Dragon Age II is very different to that. I image it to be a lot more focused on your player-character and it might even have a more combat oriented game-play, not unlike ME 2. I also feel there might be a stronger focus on "governing" your lands, of which some aspects already shone through in Awakeing. This might include real military campaigns, not unlike Total War.

Well, it's not all that surprising imo because it seems like Dragon Age 2 will be very much a different game, compared to part 1.

I just want to say I love Bioware and the good work they do i have bought both mass effects and dragon age along with their novels. Having looked through the forums people are complaing about lack of choice and not being able to play as their warden but this is not a big deal to me. What really worries me is that no one has said anything about carrying over our descions is that just going to be decided for us?. Because i liked the world that i left behind in both origins and awakening.
Well the world you left behind was open to another Blight so you suck
I read in another topic Dragon Age 2 takes place 65 years after the DA:O but what is true about that?

No. I just want my descions to count after all the hours invested in the game 60+. It's like when i complet fallout 3 and it's dlcs i was so annoyed that i had completed the game and yet i couldn't tell the BOS that i had an orbiting space ship that they could salvage. just wandered the wastesHulk Hsieh wrote...
Wait, do you mean if I can't import DA:O into DA2, my good time with DA:O is pointless?

I can imagine what the "little more indirect" means: in conversations etc. there will be mentioned the actions of some famous grey warden, blahblah. Probably the way the land is governed will depend on the decision alistair vs. anora etc.
Everything fine yeah, BUT it will lack the overall identification with one character - your old one. You won't have the same feel of consequence if you're playing as Mr. Stuffed Hawke who doesn't have to givea rat's ass about the story of the dubious Grey Warden from part 1.

Just saying the way the dev said it was a little indirect.
I said it would make a difference.
Dev said you would see that playing Dao was not pointless in DA2.
